When and Why Do Virgos Blow Up?

When I'm my usual self: relaxed, easy going, calm, mentally preoccupied, I feel like a virgo. I'm all about peace and harmony, and working out differences, and a lot of times ignoring drama.

I can be a bit self-loathing, too, especially after i blow up at someone, because I don't understand why I do. I notice that I only blow up at either of my parents, my mom especially. Is it because they're very traditional and constantly try to impose their views on me? Or is it the Aries moon in my birthchart that causes me to have such a short fuse?

I make an effort to go into a conversation with my mom in an understanding way, to explain something to her, something simple and impersonal, but oh my i end up screaming at her and feel bad. I know it's because Ive repeated and explained something at least twice already, but that's no excuse. It also doesn't help that she usually says something i find completely nasty and irrelevant to the subject. she can really frustrate me. my dad is just as offensive if not more. I on the other hand, scream my explanation and might use a cuss word or two, but the cuss word is never at them, more along the lines of "No, you have to request a fucking refund before shipping it," but it doesn't matter, because even if im not calling them a cuss word, they say i am or did, gaah.

I hate this part of me, what can I do?

I had a Virgo sun, Aries moon roommate for a year. Her temper was really over the top ridiculous. It seemed to just come out of nowhere and then be gone just as fast. I remember her mom helped her move into our apartment and she spent the whole time full on screaming & cussing at her mom. I was horrified. I couldn't believe that the sweet person I interviewed, was this shrieking banshee.lol

Your Aries moon is most likely the culprit. How do your parents react when you lose your temper? I've noticed that with Aries they need a dose of their own medicine, to gain empathy/respect and calm the fuck down. My Aries mom will lose her temper and if the other person is too passive, she'll see it as her being in the right or as permission to be much worse. My roommate only lost it with me once, and it was because I refused to do something for her. She started yelling and I spewed such hatred back at her, she then became quite contrite.

I don't know. Maybe get help? Anger management?

LOL, awesome. the coincidence, not the temperament. My parents would say I'm mean, and I would respond that's how you raised me. They do have hot tempers themselves. I remember having to break up their fights when I was little, and they still argue now. I feel like when it's just me and her in her home I get pulled into her universe and that's how i respond to it. When we're out, or at someone else's place, say one of my siblings' places I'm perfectly calm no matter what she says to irk me. I don't blow up at all or feel like i will. 90% of the time i'm playful and sweet to my mom. Though a lot of times I think she deserves it for how she acts towards me in our heated exchanges I always regret it because in hindsight I DO appreciate her hard work and sacrifice, even with her lack of affection.

I'm leaning towards putting distance between us. I think it changes her as well. I've lived far and I've lived closer to her. She's more agreeable when I've been gone for a while or at more of a distance. But I don't know how long I'd be able to enjoy it since she says she plans to come live with me when she's retired. I'm so not looking forward to it. I'm hoping she'll go stay with one of my sibs that have kids for her to play with lol.
