a year from now? like as friends? I think everything in the second post sounded good. but I would also make sure you add that you still want to be friends even though you don't want to work together anymore. then ask WDYT.

I think it really depends on how your talk goes. If you can communicate in a serious logical but friendly way you can still be friends I think. And even if he is upset at first he will come around and talk to you again. If the conversation goes right. what are you planning on telling him? to stop lecturing you and that you want a new partner??
