A single blue flower petal.
Don't know why I was chosen to be separated from my flower. But I am here now—in a line of others. Pink ones, yellow ones, red ones, white ones, and blue ones too. Oh and mixed ones as well. White with pink, yellow and red??_and so on.
Twirling—spinning—flying!
Don't know where, don't know how. All I know is that we??_we are being guided to paradise. So the others say.
Oh, and that I'm a blue flower petal.
But I didn't feel??_very guided. I feel??_feel??_strung. How is it that such a wild thing like the wind is keeping us in a perfect twirling line? I can't move! Why can't we stop?
It can't wait.
The others say. What the hell do they mean? Why couldn't it wait? Paradises does not move does it?
It became eerily dark yet we were still moving as if the path had been clearly lit for us. I grew cold and afraid.
The string and the isolation became too much to bare.
Then and there I truly became, a blue, blue flower petal.
I became almost lifeless. Dead as some of the others have put it.
They??_tossed me off the line. I didn't know if any of us had that control.
I slowly dropped and landed onto the grass. Despite the emotional pain I was able to feel a sense of peace having been unbound.
The real, wild, free wind I knew lifted me off the ground. But it was just enough so I was able to see that there were a handful of others with me too that were left behind in the dark wilderness. It seems they??ve been here long before I have and would soon dry away.
I wasn't alone. I didn't know or really care if they did not want to be here but it made me happy.
Silence was all that transpired between us. It was a peaceful silence.
For a long time I stared at the stars, wondered about them, and saw pictures before darkness overcame me and I was crossing pass the fade into dream.
