A Short Film

The beginning takes place with a successful business man having a drink at a local bar

He's extremely wealthy,but his recent divorce has left him crippled,with his best friend Jack Daniels he hides the scars

The woman at the other end of the bar is also single,depressed,but her breathtaking beauty demands attention

The man and woman exchange pleasantries,desperate for companionship,they get lost in each other,their pasts they fail to mention

They exchange numbers,they later connect on a soul level,their chemistry rides all through the summer,they later decide to exclusively only see one another

They continue to find through each other an element both their life's had been lacking

Together they are as one,and any emotional baggage from previous relationships is sent packing

Years go by,and they decide to take the vows and commit to marriage

Their family and friends celebrate,and they leave the alter on a white horse accompanied by a gold carriage

The first year is blissful,they bring a child into this world,with a family being their sole principal

Their life is perfect,nothing could be better,until the fateful day the woman opened that letter

She opens the envelope,and gasps in horror at the words on the page,she unfortunately lived a completely different life at an early age

She never told her husband that daddy took her virginity,after that night she took the first greyhound and headed out to the bright lights of the city

She had no money,she struggled daily to survive,a friend introduced her to a drug called heroin,the high took her pain away,for the first time she felt alive

She failed to mention that she turned to prostitution as a means to get money for her drugs,and when the needle was in her arm was the only time she ever felt love

She never told her husband,scared to lose the best thing she ever had,but the guilt of not telling him started to take it's toll,everyday she woke she lived miserable and sad

Her rapid weight loss began to show on her frail physique,she no longer could do everyday activities,her body became to weak

Her husband,concerned for her health,demanded she check into the emergency room,the day she dreaded all her life had finally loomed

On her death bed,she began to say,"You are the love of my life,but i received a letter last May","I don't know how to tell you this,but the letter i received from the doctor confirmed i have full blown AIDS"
