Beautys Mask

Peculiar in the sense every individuals take on beauty is different

It could be the heroin users first hit in the morning, or the oil based painting at your favorite art exhibit

it could be the woman's warm smile that helped you overcome cancer, it could be the free spirits soul who understands life is to live, and not everything has to have an answer

maybe its the peace and serenity of watching the effortless flow of ocean waves crashing down, maybe you like the city, and become mesmerized at the bright lights of downtown

It could be traditional in the sense of flowers,mountains, and a stream that flows endless
for me, I find beauty in a good heart,pursuing a righteous cause, undaunted and relentless

I find beauty in critics who tell me not to write this way, the children are listening

Exactly, who do you think i write for,i provide them a voice,i release the handcuffs on their creativity, and unblock the bars of their mental prison

i find beauty in watching the original rebel, James Dean,looking cool as ever with a cigarette hanging out his mouth

The photograph of Tupac Shakur after being shot five times,giving the media the finger,showing you the unglamorous side of what thug life is really about

I find beauty in a soldiers funeral,the American flag draped and the gun salute,the bravery of anybody past and present, may God's protection and mercy blanket our current troops

I find beauty that they think i am crazy,everybody keeps telling me this straight jacket fits me really nice,the guards where nice enough to pull the straps really nice and tight, Oops!,they left a pen in the room,i pick it up with my mouth,clinch it with my teeth,and on the walls i still continue to write

The miracle of this is that beauty does not have to be cliche,embrace mistakes and regrets but never let your path go astray,the most beautiful thing in the world,the individual who wakes up and genuinely appreciates everyday
