Just read about a new form of art that changes with the mood of the viewer...it takes a look at certain facial expressions- different points on your face and changes accordingly...as interesting as this is and as fun as it probably is to play with, it makes me wonder- who is a painting to tell you what your mood is and what if you don't want to see something that matches your mood? I mean, if you're pissed, wouldn't you get even more pissed if you had a painting sticking it's tongue out at you? 🙂 Hmmm....what do you think?

I think it might make it harder to make programs that can interpret your exact mood and then have it reflect something back at you. Because individuals do ultimately show emotions differently.

I agree- it's too generic- no one shows emotions in the same way

That's why I don't believe in the paranoia that many people have regarding robots taking over the world. The robots will probably have their right place in the world but seriously not sure about more than that.

Human emotion is so complex that while technology could get close to replicating it, they could never completely capture the full range of an actual person.

there was a sex study done- trying to figure out what turns people on...a number of people were showed a series of video clips while their brains were electronically mapped during the process.

during the violent secenes- some people showed activity in the center of the brain that controls sexual pleasure- while others were not activated in that part of the brain during violent scenes at all...similar DIFFERENT responses with different individuals during different scenes- chemically- the way our brains are wired...we all respond differently

I just thought of this after reading your posts...interesting stuff...
