i remember winter

It breaks the noise in half,
Silence completes the days ahead
With streets on lockdown. Vacuum
Tunnels eat your body whole,
Spread you out in the open
While spectators smile with
Jealousy.
Powerful enemy strikes against the window,
Blows breeze on the willing tounge.
Frozen sugar bites on top of candle wax.
Dripping centuries, takes years to get to the
Finish line.
Mangle, tangle, trees with no faces.
Which tree is strongest? Abides by the rules?
Which one mesmerizes my eyes?
Makes for a pretty fool.
White sockets, electricity unstable.
First day, the holiday
Of cliche postcards. But you want to participate.
Young, old, houses in awe of one another,
Which one has greater power?
Icicles accompany goosebumps.
Friend or foe?
Hush from the television screen, cemetery invitations.
When tomorrow dawns again, December
Will gradually fade.

BEAUTIFUL poem, AND season ..winter is definately my favorite time of year, i can sooo relate. Thanks for sharing.. *will be keeping this one.
