Reflection

Everything I am beats within my heart.
It knows no barriers, does not recognize time.
It flies free, on glossy wings
To soar over mountains, dip low to ravines and back up again.
Spinning, fiercely calling out.
Power echoing off trees and rocks.
Riding the thermals, the piercing eye taking in everything around me.
Absorbing the pulse of life from every blade of grass, each sapling
The hearts beating in tandem with my own.
Emotions blasting through my veins
Love
Sadness
Pain
Fear
Joy
Laughter
Tears
The beetle trundling along..
The leaves pushing upwards to the sun..
The couple embracing..
The fishes swimming..
The couple in the park making love with their eyes..
The deer wrapped round its fawn..
The wolf raising his head to howl..
The child weeping..
The girl with her arms wrapped round her legs daydreaming..
The boy calling in glee..
Absorbing...reflecting..
I spiral down..down..
