Thats a tougher question then it looks. Both equally would kick start my ego into full gear. The more attractive one I'd think "I'm going to use 100% of my ability to pleasure them as much as possible." I'd think the same for the less attractive one too though. When I'm trying to impress women I'm with, I secretly hyper focus on every possible thing they like and dislike. Its is. Here's the thing about this question though... its a researched and studied question. Overwhelmingly men choose the first one, while women will overwhelmingly choose the 2nd one. Keep in mind that the whole "beauty is in the eye of the beholder" still applies here - some folks still have shit taste 😆, but to each their own.
OK, so question for you- given your MO in a relationship is constant (all the things you say you do to get to know her and form a bubble around a relationship), but the variables in the question range from one end to the other in attractiveness with the lower scale just being passable to create baseline attractiveness for you to get a chubby and keep the sax aspect alive. Im going to make you pick a side here 😆, are you going to put your effort into the more beautiful one, that youre likely going to work harder for, amd have more competition for, or the one who isnt nearly as attractive, but thinks you hung the moon, and you can sorta coast?

I’d feel more comfortable with the second option for sure. Like my Leo fwb partner. I find him super attractive. The most attractive man I’ve ever been with. And I’ve looked up his exes and they are super hot. So I’m always thinking wth is he doing with me when he can have any female he wants? Even though we’ve slept together numerous times I’m still so nervous as hell and self conscious that I can’t fully enjoy it. 😬🤷♀️. I appreciate you responding. I think, from what im understanding, this is the normal position for women in general. A few months ago it seemed like every woman i spoke to mentioned something about dating down for safety purposes, basically, and it was really driving me crazy. So, I asked a psychologist that I was talking to (a friend) and she basically said 90% of the time men will choose option 1, while almost equally, women choose option 2.. which is what i kept hearing, but sounded so foreign to me. But, we went down a whole list of differences between male and female brains, that I didn't realize, but after seeing it, you cant unsee it. But the research has been done and backs it all up.

Nah, things always get wonky on extreme ends of any spectrum. Mid people are the ones who don’t cheat. At least not for validation. Ugly and hot cheat at similar rates. Ugly due to lack of access and hot due to too much access. Mid people have just enough access to appreciate a connection and value it.

I don't know what in the world has happened to him but it's plain to see that nature weren't too kind to him. Out of the circle of people I know, the women cheated as a way to ends things. I’m thinking back to the women I know that cheated and the men had already betrayed the relationship multiple times. I’m not saying that’s the norm, just what I’ve observed.
Even my best friend, I think she was emotionally cheating at the end of her marriage. She won’t admit that but she got caught messaging her high school boyfriend. And an acquaintance recently found out his wife cheated and he wanted to work it out and she didn’t, so it wasn’t a cake and eat it situation, she knew she wanted it to end. My cousin stayed faithful her entire toxic relationship and then cheated in the end. I’m not excusing monkey branching. I’ve done it and it is shitty, but the relationships were already dying.

I mean, so when I think of cheating I think of physical. I do believe emotional cheating is a thing, but I also think the intent is different, if that makes sense? A person has to intend to physically cheat.. emotional attachment comes on gradually. Its hard to say in my mind that I could ever emotionally cheat on someone intentionally. Now a work relationship, to me is pretty close, I do care about the women who help me in my office- couldn't do what I do without them and they know me, like theyre an extension of me, so emotionally, we're connected in a lot of ways, but theres still parts of me I ain't telling anyone im not with.. some shit has to be years before im going say shit. Just how I am.. So, with that said yeah, I believe monkey branching is cheating.. I get that its the emotial death of a relationship leading to the intended physical relationship with a new prospect (which if I remember correctly, monkey branching has like a 90% failure rate - the new person doesn't usually last) prior to the first one ending. IMO its weak. You know shits over emotionally, why do you need the safety net of a title to remain while fucking around? Because the foundation you have together - home, car, routines, all get to remain and keep you comfortable while setting things up to break their trust and end it all anyway. Thats how I look at it, and I feel like thats selfish, and weak.
I do think men are more inclined to repair over abandon a relationship, but I can't say thats a fact. It just seems that way from what ive seen. Like the neutered guys I mentioned taht cheated.. thats what that is - them, in a twisted way, thinking theyre repairing a relationship because they fucked up and they know it. And the wife/gf is using it as an opportunity to pull all the power away from him in the relationship. Essentially using his shame against him. Thats not love either, to me, thats just using someone.
Personally, just end it. Yeah, there are going to be inconveniences in your life as soon a you do, especially if they're a spiteful shithead over it.. i just cant give someone the leverage over me to accurately call me a cheater. So my conscience stays clean, no shame for me, and you act shitty towards me because its over, well, thats on you.
But again, there are big gender discrepancies im aware of between the sexes in these scenarios. Its easy fo me to say just end it when I don't have to worry about getting beat up.. a man can get shot, sure, or my car keyed, something goofy, but a woman can get seriously hurt with the wrong guy.. but even at that, distance, breakup, get that dick sis.. because the same leeway I gave for the genders, also works against people who cheat.. keep it clean.

I’m really telling peoples business now but my “adopted” mom monkey branched to her current husband and they’ve been married like 25 years. I think she was even juggling both for a period of time and she had to write an apology letter to her current husband to get him back.
My cousin is still with the guy she monkey branched to too.
But in both of those cases the guys they left were abusive and actively trying to ruin their lives.

I mean if someone is abusive, fuggin definitely! Like I said for women, abuse puts a whole new spin on things. All this is all easy for me to say as silverback gorilla who really doesnt have to worry about physical abuse, but thats my perspective, and honestly, probably a blindspot for me. And a lot of what I see comes from domestic abuse victims whose SO has found them at a woman's shelter so we hide them in our rentals.. ive occasionally had to get violent with these guys myself. Which another weird thing I've noticed, and awkward for me, is a lot of these guys are law enforcement, and even firefighters. I had to threaten a guy I used to work with over the phone that I knew where he was and I was coming to get his ass because he would not stop trying to intimidate his wife. But again, positions of power, is the common thread in my eyes.. or alcoholics.. even junkies don't have these problems.. they just steal everything and fall asleep in weird places..
What i see most of the time is a lot of women get bored when things are going too smoothly. They have the house, the car, the 1.5 kids, when the responsibilities outweigh the fun and it feels like work. Thats when they start looking elsewhere for attention, the single guy having fun they can attach to. When they start talking about "passion" it seems this is where life is for them at that time. I think both sides really do have to take time for like date nights, or vacations, or just having fuggin fun together, between all the grinding life takes, I mean if you care enough..
This has been parallel to what ive been discussing with my friend who is a Dr in Psychology. She specializes in couples counseling. Yeah, she was as close to therapy as I was getting because she knows me and has for along time😆.. she gives me shit, but she knows me, so we talk about all kinds of shit lol. Men and women, fundamentally think differently about many many things, including relationships. Talking with her really highlighted how male masculine energy and female energy like really work. Not to get lost in the weeds of the spectrum that makes up those 2 separate energies, but theyre different. Most people i think 3rd grade brain the concept and just think men have pee pees, and girls have boobies and a hooha.. i think we know it, we just dont see it clearly for what it really is, then we're confused about the other, because we relate to how we're wired

This is kinda what I see also. Here's the fault in the logic with dating down for security IMO, especially as a female dating down with men: men get cocky. They see you as the prize (and this is what women want from this arrangement), youre better than most women who would give them a chance.. so now their on an upswing with the new attention, theyre feeling themselves, Also, women are attracted to men who can pull other good looking women (especially higher caliber than themselves) so they start giving Mr big head attention. A higher quality good looking guy or girl is going to be used to the attention. I don’t mean to put him down in any way, I just individualize most of my relationships and see something extraordinary about each and every one of the men that has been a part of my life. I truly believe I’ve been blessed in that department. The least I could do is be appreciative and expressive of what they’ve given me.
But yeah, I had an awesome FIRST. I loved practicing, perfecting, learning to be ok with expressing every emotion out loud and not get embarrassed. I gained knowledge, experience, confidence and he also taught me to be natural about it… just BE.
