Jeez im so sorry. That’s really hard to know what to do. He’s a grown man though and needs to go to therapy at least to help cope. Is he just a depressed person or do you think he would act on it? I know for me, I’m chronically depressed with suicidal ideations—even if I would not act on it, the thought runs course through my mind. It’s more that I am severely overwhelmed and would rather not be.

So OP he may need to be medicated if there’s a chemical imbalance here that’s causing this kind of behavior—it’s not normal or healthy.
