For those who read biased astrology interpretations. Especially, popular versions that focus one a low functioning or a small cross section of expression.

The Nocebo effect applies here as well. Belief is a powerful force.

Edit: Clarification.

The reason I brought up the Nocebo effect is I'm coming across people here and in my life who are falling for this psychological trap. For those who believe or follow astrology beware of how you look at things and what interpitations you choose to read and follow.

Look at the signs as personality types. Then the signs, placements, aspects as having a spectrum of positive and negative expressions(low functioning and high functioning works here too).

Negative person negative expression and vis versa. If everything on the spectrum is possible, by you assume one outcome you make it more likely to happen because you will change your behavior to fit it. For instance, not all Geminis cheat but you treating them like they are or will, can undermine the relationship and they just might do that. Or maybe quickly move on and you will blame that too on the placement rather then your own influence on the situation.

Same thing with squares. Squares means 2 things that don't naturally understand/get a long with each other. Doesn't mean they can't, just nothing in common or point of reference other then each others own side. Constant misunderstands. The Positive expression between people with this kind of aspect is a learning experience. It's like learning a different language that shares no common words.

Don't assume/believe anything without evidence to backup those assumptions. Or you will literally create problems that were not there to begin with or personally limit yourself from what is possible and your capable of.

It's all about how you look at things. Perception.

The Nocebo effect applies here and anything involving psychology. Belief is a powerful force.

If Im understanding this correctly it’s saying that the mind is so powerful that you can believe negative things to be true ?

Honestly this is really interesting because often Ive wondered this about astrology myself. The mind is a powerful thing and if you really start to believe something you really believe it and it feels real. Ive had that happen to me. So sometimes I wonder if astrology is just a trick of our minds. Because the mind is so powerful.

I can read descriptions of all the signs and somehow make it fit me. So to be honest Im not sure what’s true and what’s not.

I read some bad descriptions of my chart placements, some describing things I never seen myself as before and worry or obsess over them then I start to believe it. That’s the bad part about reading generalized descriptions.

With the question whether or not astrology is a trip of the mind falls into pit trap #1. I'll post what I refer to pit trap #1 another day. This one is about #2😁

I will say this though, the first time I read my placement report it spooked me. Not only was it correct( loosy) but had things in there that were true that just so happen to shed light on problems with myself. Not just placement but the aspects relating to said description not of "who am I" but my past and how I acted. I went bananas and study astrology in depth. I researched all placements of each sign to better understanding and read many different interpretations of each one over time. I'm a born questioner and sceptic. Love psychology and sociology, always have so this wasn't a stretch.

At the beginning of shit testing astrology with "houses" and I ran my own chart. Nothing fit with what the placements implied. Then I noticed I had the time wrong. Fixed it and it started to fit loosy again. Maybe I'm just unlucky. Also I did fall for some bad interpretations and actually begun to play the negative version out. When I realised this I did the reverse🤷

So ya total pit trap.

I ran synastry charts of people in my past and there was strong correlation there too. Those I had romantic interest in had placements supporting that fact and lack there of, was also true too. I ran charts of people I was around and begun to watch and question them and again correlations but only to a point. So without a doubt there is something to it. There is enough "correct/truth" in it to not be dismissed out right even if it's a twisted form of whatever truth it holds. I believe the truth to why it's relevant has to do with the mechanics of why it works in the first place.

I have a working theory that I'm practicing on myself and so far it's going great and fits my hypothesis. It relates to pit trap #1 as well. So I'm waiting until I can put it into words without writing a book.

I don't think it really matters . It can be like a placebo effect where you get genuine results from your beliefs alone even if the pill you are taking has nothing in it

We can interpret information in so many ways

Also, reading bad things about yourself can help you to accept the reality of being a human being with good and bad inside.

I think if you use your beliefs for your own personal development then it doesn't really matter how true they are

Astrology is fun. It was a revelation to me when I first read about gemini traits, it explained so much and made me feel better about myself rather than feeling alone thinking I was a complete nutcase 😄 At least I can blame it on my sun sign now

Lol no you can't😜

In the process of learning about astrology you compare and questioning the results. It makes you think about yourself whether it's right or not and the by product of that is self-awareness. Meaning if you know and continue you are choosing it🙃

A side effect of astrology.

It's nice to hear it helped you though. Gemini is a cool archetype. Living contradictions at least looking from the outside in. There is no way in hell Robin hood wasn't a Gemini. Committing crimes to help the poor? Total Gemini move.
