Do you hate "good byes"? (avoid it)

My Aquarius lover told me that he hates saying "bye" and that he rather not do it and that it would hurt him if he were to say bye to me and then walk away. that it's more like an "I'll see you later". Well I spent time with him for a month and we had fun, he is in the military and he left to England and the day that he left, he literally did not say anything he we were sleeping in bed he woke up early and I was half when I felt him kiss me on my lips and I heard him leave and that was that. He's going to be gone for 3 years. At first I was kinda disappointed that he left without saying anything to me I was kinda hurt (me being a cancer and all) but we both knew that if we said bye to each other we both would've cried. So I understand why he left the way he did. Of course we still talk and have a great connection. Do any of you Aquarius hate these kind of goodbyes? How do you handle it? Would you have done the same thing?

Yeah I'm not really great with goodbyes. Especially if it's associated to emotional circumstances where I know it will stir up deep emotions within myself and more so the other person. Don't really want to watch or cause anymore pain. Heck even at social events I hate having to go to each person to say goodbye.....I generally try to pull the quiet undetected vanishing act when possible. It's not done with the intention of being rude or hurting the other person.....goodbyes just blow most of the time and don't want to make a huge spectacle out of it.
