I feel pathetic

An aqua guy and I were supposed to hang out last Friday (it would've been our third date). He asked me out on Tues via text saying, "maybe on my way back from work we can meet if you're free?" (He was going to be in San Diego for work). So I agreed.
Wed and Thurs goes by and I didn't hear from him, which was pretty typical because we didn't text every single day. I assumed that he would text me on Friday on his way up to see me or something but I didn't hear from him. So I texted around 5:30pm and asked if we're still meeting up. I got a text from him 4 hours later saying he's sorry that he should have gotten in touch with me earlier but he's still stuck in San Diego. I was mad at that point and decided not to say anything since I had nothing nice to say at that moment. So I didn't text back Fri night, all day Saturday and decided to text him back on Sunday afternoon saying, "thanks. Hope you're having a good weekend." And just to be clear, I meant that in a thanks for the apology way.

That was my last text to him on last Sunday. It's now been a week and I haven't heard anything back. I know it would've been our only 3rd date but he initiated contacts after last time we hung out and he was the one who had asked me out. Is this a way of him telling me that he's no longer interested? I feel so pathetic that I'm even asking this question but I can't seem to just forget about him. Is it a) best to forget about him or b) reach out to him? And if you're answer is a b) what would you say to him?

You know Air sign are notorious for being busy alot , so it would help to be one of those types who also stays busy and if it works then meet if not don't get mad.

I know if people showed alittle bit more and called this lady to let her know at least. That would be great but he didn't so why put up with it.

He said maybe. To me, that's not a definite plan. It means if things work out, we can meet up.

It was rude of him though, not to let you know and he should have gotten back to you sooner.
