this is something interesting on Mars Aquarius. It may or may not refer to you, and depending on houses and aspects, there maybe some truth in it, or slight variations of it.

—The Sexual Liberator??

Mars in Aquarius Lovers are the least physical of all the Mars types. Of course, these Lovers have all the same sexual juices, physical needs and desires as all of us but with Mars in Aquarius these needs are processed in such an intellectual and objective fashion that sex seldom has the same pressing corporal reality that makes it so problematic for the rest of us. For these Lovers everything important about sex happens inside their heads. In one sense this gives them extraordinary freedom. They can use sex the way a mathematician uses calculus or an artist uses perspective; to achieve a specific goal. These goals can vary a great deal. Some may choose to use it as a source of inspiration and spiritual revitalization; others, as a means of persuasion. Still others will use sex for its shock value and as a way of getting the attention of all those silly people who think sex is so darned important.

This abstracted approach to sex means that Mars in Aquarius Lovers naturally feel free to experiment with their sexuality. The emotional conditions and social restrictions most people place on the sex act mean little to these thoroughly rational and unconventional Lovers. The only restrictions they recognize are those of time and space. At their best, the absolute freedom with which these Lovers approach both sex and love is inspirational. Time spent with them can be a true liberation for us —less adventurous?? souls.

It shouldn't be assumed that Mars in Aquarius Lovers break the rules just for the fun of it.?? This daring, experimental approach to sex is always secondary to the notion these Lovers have that sex has to be tied to some larger purpose. This is one of the most idealistic placements of Mars—meaning that for these Lovers, love is understood in terms of ideas—usually big ideas. It is not so much that these people think they can change the world by making love. No, it's more that the sex act must fit into an overall idealism—into a system of ideas, hopes, and dreams that often has little to do with its simple biological function.

Because of their extreme idealism with regard to sex, Mars in Aquarius Lovers often have an easier time lov

many sites, including cafeastrology places high on Mars on what we (as women) are attracted to in a man (the general attraction) :

http://www.cafeastrology.com/articles/idealmanforawoman.html<BR>
If a woman's Mars is in Aquarius, she can be most impressed by men who are somewhat unconventional or kooky in their choice of clothes and overall style . She wants an interesting man. He can certainly be handsome, but boring? Hardly. A man with a brain is important, although she won't be attracted to a brainy type. Somebody who is perceptive, a little unconventional, and perhaps somewhat aloof is most attractive. Rigid or boring types simply won't do.
-------

The Mars placement serves as what women are attracted to, as well as sexual prowess.

Men on the other hand, use Venus and their moon, as well as Mars for sexual prowess, but i can see it as a placement driving for individuality.

^^^An unexpected inheritance...^^^

@Lisa:Your post kind of sounds like Freudian thinking to me. Always thinking about the sex drive as being the central energy people act on, even if they are not doing anything sexual.

you know when you said that, immediately i thought of freud and his stellium in taurus 7th house, and then all that taurus energy and his talk about sex....Lol

Never mind.

Freud's funny. With all that Oedipedal journey.

Yea it is. I don't completely agree but I don't completely disagree either. He kinda uses sex as a metaphor for everything that we appreciate in the world... I do think that sex is so inspiring that it is holy and deserves to be treated with respect, so I'm not that comfortable just throwing my self on girls like some guys seem to be. The way I see it that is all rooted in anxiety to get layer. I'd much rather have really warm, loving, empathetic sex that means something.

hmmm

i guess if you look at it in another way, the parts where your sex organs are...kind of is like "chi" energy. You know those cartoon shows of "Dragonball Z"?? Or in Martial arts, where the energy comes from below your stomach? All that energy comes out, and creates a kind of powerful energy. I dont know what's up with that really. So, maybe someone who studies on it on a deeper level could really get to understand it and relate to Freud's psychoanalyzing.

"If a woman's Mars is in Aquarius, she can be most impressed by men who are somewhat unconventional or kooky in their choice of clothes and overall style ."

I disagree with this. I have mars in Aqua and although, I like a man who is his own person and has his own opinions (can think for himself), I don't like those that dress out of the norm. This may be because I'm from a small town and have been influenced by that or could be my capricorn sun.

Lol

Believe me, I dont like "kooky" either. My husband is very conservative and kooky is just not in our menu. LMAO

Sometimes, astrologers do some weird research that doesn't even make sense. Maybe that's more in style for the fast-lane societies and congested cities. People are for the most part really influenced by their environment.

Well, I have been told "you're your own person aren't you". Yes, if everyone else likes something, I'll pick something else. For instance, a few years ago everyone had crushes on Tomo Romo, but I had a crush on Jason Witten. Now EVERYONE likes Witten, so I'm going to have to find a new Cowboy to crush on.

I don't respect people who don't think for themselves, inform themselves and draw their on opinions on a subject. So many people base their opinions on the popular choice or heresay or what other people have told them.

I don't think I'm gothic, but I LOVE Halloween and scary stuff and dressing up in gothic ways for Halloween, so, ehhh, maybe there is a little bit in there.

I don't like being pushed into a corner. I'll come out fighting. If you pressure me to make a decision before I have time to think it out the answer will be an immediate no or it will be the answer you don't want to here because I'll prove a point out of spite that you're not going to push me. (hmmmm, maybe why I understand aqua men for the most part).

I like to debate for the sake and fun of debate. I'm not expecting to change your mind, or you will change mine. I just like to know what makes other people tick and why they think the way they do. But, I expect you to try to understand where I'm coming from as well.

I like this part of what Lisa wrote: "She wants an interesting man. He can certainly be handsome, but boring? Hardly. A many doesn't have to be handsome as long as he is charismatic and interesting. I don't like nerdy types, I like manly men. I don't care if their ideas are unconventional (as long as they dress conventional) And yeah, although it frustrates the HELL out of my scorpio venus, and hurts me occasionally, I'm attracted to aloof men. Men that are all clingy, lovey dovey, words without action turn me off and make me want to run. Aloof men make me want to stay. It's a challenge I like to try to get underneath that aloofness to the person inside. It's rewarding when you do.

The way you think and express your opinion here is exactly what I expected from someone who has mars in Aquarius. It is very
