Well, until OP fesses up and explains why she wants to be best friends with someone other than her bf/gf, I'm out.
Man, you guys are a stiff bunch! He's also friends with my boyfriend and I'm friends with his wife. He's an amazing person and I love being around him. I am an adult and know about boundaries and such. I am not attracted to him at all. So, if y'all could work on my question instead of the psychoanalysis of why I would like a friendship with an Aqua - as if it is so uncommon - that would be great. Humph. Loosen up, Aquas!

I guess a better question should have been, how does one get close to an Aqua? What steps should I take to let him know that I would like to spend more time with him, that he isn't bothering me when he reaches out, etc.
You're friends with his wife...idk, ask to go out on double dates mpre often, or dinners at each others' himes?
I don't know how you become "bffs" with someone. Doesn't it just happen organically? Don't you consider your friend and his wife as a unit, and not one where you would do stuff with him and not her?
Something about this question is weird to me.

Don't know hey, just be a friend. There's really no way to go about it I don't particular respond to anyone trying to befriend me or taking that friendship to the next level. It's on my turf or it just doesn't happen. Sharing laughter, tears and what not.
