He says we don't spend enough time together and he is used to girls chasing him maybe it is an ego thing? But he makes it sound like I am making him insecure.

Clingy? I don't think. I value my own space and i respect other's space too.
Insecure, perhaps. I'd have a lot of whys in my mind and start (over)analyzing stuff.
But still keep maintain my space and tried to not bombard him anyway.

What he means is give him compliments and ask him to do stuff with you.
Aquarius likes to chase but they also like to see that your interested, they like to chase the spot light so if your the center of attention they'll be attracted to you, something about challenges and setting goals then reaching them.

It depends.
If I really, really like someone and would like for us to have a relationship, it can make me insecure when my affection is not reciprocated, or when I feel it's not reciprocated.
If I'm in love, I can become clingy and needy because I would love to be close to that person and spend as much time together as possible.
The clingyness usually doesn't stay though. It's usually only in the beginning and caused by insecurity as well. Not knowing where you stand with the other person, yet feeling the attraction. It's tense.
That's what I think is going on he says it scares him how much he likes me but he feels I am distant and not into him. I do like him but I wasted a year and a half on a Cap that couldn't be bothered and he knows this in turn this put me in a mood to be focused on myself. It is still new so o don't want to loose site of my goals and it may take me a bit longer to warm up because I have never dated a guy like him before. He is used to girls chasing him and I am not doing that so he feels it's not reciprocated but it is I am just not on the sake level of reciprocation.
