Why DXP!? Why...
Maybe DXP are doing these surprise "maintenance" sessions as a form of therapy for the hard core DXP addicts amoung us. Hehe
I belive they are trying to conserve some bandwith by shutting down the forum on sundays.

Update usually takes 1-2 hour and only once. Not every week and half a day each time.
You can send them to gulag for that where I come from. Maybe you should do that here too.
