Aries and Taurus?

Hey, I'm an Aries and my boyfriend is a Taurus. My Sun is in Aries and his Sun is in Taurus. Beyond that I'm a bit confused after looking at our natal charts and would love some more insight into who we are and our relationship. I hope it might help me understand and work through some issues. 🙂 I'll try and attach the charts if I can figure out how haha

Well how is it going so far? How long have you known each other?

We've known each other for over five years. C: It's been wonderful but sometimes REALLY difficult. He's had issues with being controlling (still is sometimes regarding people he dislikes) and I have anxiety and depression - when I feel smothered/trapped I can be very destructive towards myself or other people.

I've really felt the difference in paces. He's very happy with his own surroundings and slow to progress through life. I'm always itching to keep moving forward and growing especially career-wise. It's been an issue where we want to live together but he doesn't have his licence or a job yet, so no income. I gave him a massive push (not a nice period in our relationship - he is very stubborn even if I say it's important for our future) and he's working on his licence now, then hopefully a job. ?

At the moment we're happy. C: It might change because I really get along with a girl he dislikes, but hopefully it'll be okay.

I still think we need to understand each other better and learn to communicate better (instead of getting in deadlocks) so I'm hoping you guys can give me more insight.

Why does he dislike the girl?

Just a tip - Taurus can be convinced, you just need to explain to them why and be persistent about it.

Thanks, I'll try. C: Persistence has annoyed him in the past but eventually works.

The biggest thing is the speed difference, Aries is stubborn also. So we want it our way. Taurus is grounded and wants it their way. They almost none moveable object. You have to convince them with logic/reason or an emotional appeal/understanding not force. You just have to be a little patient with your Taurus. The Taurus can learn to speed up a bit and may enjoy life a little more. If you can come to that kind of dynamic than you have a good chance at making it work.

..Lot of things you said are similar to what they have in their relationship.. she says he's controlling, possessive and so on, she too has anxiety, gets angry when he's stubborn.. but he has helped her a lot, brought much stability in her, slowed her down the right way... their relationship is cute 😄

It can definitely work, and so far for me out of the fire signs, Aries has been the best match for me.

It's admirable to me how driven, quick to pursue, and energetic Aries women have been. It motivated me to achieve my goals as well and drives me when I was with one (not that I don't have goals still, I just have more of them now.) Aries seems to like how grounded we can be and due to the impulsiveness of Aries, they can make some mistakes that they don't realize at the time but Taurus is there to help with that. The aries women I've dated have all stated at one point how "secure" they feel around me. I think this pairing is very opposites attract but it can definitely work with the right adjustments from both sides. Fire and Earth create lava, it's pretty damn fiery and slow moving, but man when the pair are in unison, it's freakin explosive (in a good way).

I was with an Aries for almost 7 years and it was the most boring time in my life and we could not communicate well at all ... needless to say he was devastated when I said I was done but it was his fault and he knew it.

lol, yes they can - it depends on the other placements ... some Taurus appear to be slow but actually accomplish more than others - the tortoise and the hare concept ...

It's hard work in the beginning! Serious adjustments need to be made initially. Honestly, being the beginning stages with an Aries for me have always been rough. There are times where I'd give up and think, "they're not interested," or "it's not gonna work out," and low and behold I get calls down the line from them. They're reactionary and impulsive, and I didn't know it at the time. When Aries is invested, they don't like to lose you. It's cute actually. But yeah, best of luck!

I'm glad it sounds like their relationship is working. 🙂 In hindsight there have been times when I'm glad that my boyfriend steered me away from people or situations that clearly weren't right for me (his intuitions about people are usually spot on), but at the time it felt like I was being trapped which eventually leads to me losing it. :c

I'm still learning and want to learn as much as possible. :3 I really love him.

I'm sorry you've had some rough times! Reactionary and impulsive are the perfect words for us but it can definitely be a headache for others. I think we've made a lot of really great adjustments in our relationship - we've had major disagreements every few years but we've worked a lot of the kinks out through it. We're very invested and don't want to lose each other. :3

I've been unwell for the last few months and he's been really doting and understanding during this time - even when my emotions were all over the place for the first month ? I think it's been good for us, now that I've had to slow down. :3 I hope it's made him feel a bit more relaxed!

It's really surprising for me to hear another Aries described as boring! I'm sorry you both had that experience :c

I'm very quirky but I think some would find me boring when I get obsessed with a particular interest and it's all I can talk about. Luckily my boyfriend nods along and gets excited with me over different topics or events - or feigns excitement at least. ?

it's not surprising to me because I see that everyone can be different no matter what sign they are - the environment they grown up in, their life experiences, their personality, their other placements, etc.

and I have a lot of Aries in my chart - he was socially awkward he found out after he went to therapy after I left which I tried to get us into some sort of relationship therapy for years but he would just look at me and say "not sure why you aren't happy" "I'm happy" ... well come to find out the day I told him I was done trying, then he woke up but it was too late for me, I was gone ... and he couldn't say I didn't warn him and he knew he didn't listen

Would an interested Taurus ever be moving a pace of like 0.000001?



lol, yes they can - it depends on the other placements ... some Taurus appear to be slow but actually accomplish more than others - the tortoise and the hare concept ...

Aries much slower than I. I like though I am calmer around yall energy.

One of my best friend is an Aries married to Taurus. Its lovely to see them together....always happy and laughing . I like this pair much more than Aries with scorpios (which seems to be a very common pairing) .
