Feb eclipses

Each year we typically get four eclipses, always coming in pairs, falling on a new moon and full moon, two weeks apart. Eclipses arrive five-and-a-half months later - in 2008, they will appear in February and August.

Eclipses are known to bring dramatic, life-changing events if the mathematical degree of that eclipse touches your Sun or one of your other natal planets.

OK, let's look at the two eclipses due this month and see how you will be affected.

The solar eclipse in Aquarius due on February 6 will be a joyous one. It will bring you precisely what you need - much more fun. You've been working very hard, but this eclipse will brighten your eleventh house of friendships and new associations. New moons are always powerful, but a solar eclipse brings double or even triple the strength of a typical new moon. This is an exciting development!

There are several ways this eclipse may work for you. You may make a new friend as a result of this solar eclipse, because solar eclipses always open a new path. If you do make a new friend, this new person will likely figure prominently in months to come.

Alternatively, you may see that as a result of this eclipse, a good friend you have now will speak up for you and help you get ahead, either professionally or personally. This particular eclipse on February 6 will fall very close to Neptune, so there will be a strong inspirational and creative twist to this eclipse. Neptune can sometimes be known to bring the fog, confusing circumstances, but I doubt that will be the case now. I feel Neptune's uplifting side will reign, because Mars, the planet of energy, will be so beautifully supportive to the transiting Sun and Mercury.

There may be glitches and miscommunication this month but I wouldn't blame Neptune - that would be due to Mercury, still retrograde and happy to play little gremlin tricks on all of us.

As said, Mars will be beautifully angled to the Sun and Mercury and since Mars is your ruling planet, this gives Mars extra dignity and power. Mars, now in Gemini, will stir up your writing talent, and also help you voice great ideas. There may be opportunities to publicize your work in the media, as a guest on radio, in an article in the newspaper, online or on TV - or to host a show or have your own column from now on. You may be almost ready to launch your new Website or a high-tech idea.

If you were born on April 7, plus or minus five days, you will start to feel the benefits of the solar eclipse in a direct way. You may have other planets in your chart at 17 degrees of an air or fire sign (the degree of the solar eclipse) too and if so, you will benefit.

An opportunity to travel with a friend may come up this month, and if so, try to go. Going away for a few days would be a sterling idea - even a long weekend away would be refreshing. The best period to schedule your quick jaunt would be anytime from February 6 to 19.

This will be an emotional eclipse, where things may reach a point of no return. The pressure will be high, too. I am so sorry to have to share this information because I know you've been a bit overloaded with daily work ever since the last eclipse occurred August 28.

This lunar eclipse on February 20 will fall in your sixth house of work assignments, which rules the daily environment you encounter when you go to your office. This house also rules the tools and methods you use to do your job, and those may change, too.

Personnel may suddenly quit, be fired, or be transferred to other posts of the company. Procedures may change, or new equipment brought in that you will have to learn to use. This eclipse will be in Virgo, so you will need to oversee a large amount of detail, too. Reorganization or editing seems part of the plan.

This full moon will fall very close to Saturn, causing a depressing or burdensome feeling. It is time to face reality and bite the bullet, a hard thing to do. It really does look like there will be more cuts at your office, possibly creating of feeling of lowered morale in co-workers around you. You seem to have ALREADY faced staffing cuts few months ago. Your job looks safe, but since others may leave, you will have to work even harder. I am wondering if that is even possible! Oh gee, I wish I didn't have to tell you this! I hope I am wrong!

It will be critical that you watch your health in the last ten days of the month. Any neglect of your body will likely show up now. For example, if you haven't been sleeping enough or haven't been eating right, you will feel the results of burning the candle at both ends then.

A lunar eclipse is ten times harder to deal with when we are tired. Sometimes we feel sad when really we aren't - we are simply tired! Get more rest this month, dear Aries.
