i feel like a nobody.
dude just live it up, like you said you have all a person could want, what you described is why everyone works their asses off all their life, why people steal, kill and commit crimes. You've obviously done something right, in this life or the last so just enjoy what you have and do what makes you happy. The only thing i disagree with is the cheating part, that's just out of order.

if you're in the fine arts program at school i'd say you should try looking into automotive design. i just looked at your profile and i can see you like cars. choosing a career is as easy as finding something you like to do and expand in that area. i love cars too.. i'm going into an engineering program to design cars from the ground up that run on alternative fuels because let's be honest, in 10-15 years the gasoline powered car will decline in popularity and i need to capitalize on that.

America is going to have to start sing it's own oil reserves, china has plenty so I don't see the 'alternate fuels' for a long time.
alaska has so much oil! it's nearly impossible to extract though because of the pact they have with the native americans to preserve their land. so yes i agree with you, there's a shitload of oil in untapped reserves. but energy efficiency, and greenhouse gases play a role in determining the future of gasoline-powered cars

this is a great discussion. I think what both sides are getting at, is the meaning of true happiness, which those who are currently living paycheck to paycheck or trying to get to a paycheck are feeling the whole "what should I do" along with those who may have felt they were given too much assistance and now feel like they are wondering how to make it on their own as well.
Eventually we have to combat the ideas in our head that say we can't do things on our own, and tell those stupid false-talking ideas to can it, and find what we enjoy and what we can do and go with it.
i think what i fear the most is that my friends will all grow up, have these wonderful jobs, get married have families, kids, get promotions...and i would be there, that bachelor who never grew up still parties, cheats on his girlfriends who all date him just to say that they have in the unlikely occasion that he becomes half the man his father is.
fact is i went to college just to say that i am, i took the fine arts because i enjoy painting, music and fashion, i had no intention of making something out of my self after i graduated from the four year program as a.."bachelor of the fine arts". even as i write this i pause and look up to the wall above my desktop...a banner hangs there "Bachelor for life"...no..i don't want to be..i got through the stage where i always said i would never get married, never have kids...although i would never say it out loud...fact is i wana grow up a raise a happy family..i wana have a wonderful wife whom i will never feel compelled to cheat on...i guess it's time for me to grab hold of these reigns and bring this shit under control..thnks guys.

Ok i dont know about what was said about selling your stuff. It might be nice to get whatever you want, trust me i'm the same(not to your extent though) from my family, but i also found it neccesary to make something for myself and go to college to obtain a career. Forget about your fast food job if only keep it for part time, and make something for yourself. You wont feel so useless, find something that your interested in and start making a career for yourself. Show some respoonsibility and make some of your own money. Trust me it feels a lot better then relying on your parents for everything. You need to learn patience (being an aries, it is tough, but i have learned a lot thanks to a virgo lol) stick out a few years in school doing something for yourself. You'll feel a lot more fullfilled and productive. You just have too much time on your hands. Oh and yes since you say you have so much money a little donation here or there wont hurt for good karma. So live it up, a lot of people would love to be in your situation but don't lose your true identity or fall short of your true potention.

I guess something about the life style is not satisfying you since you're imply it isn't fulfilling. Maybe your friends filled a part of your life and now that they're gone the void is obvious. Try not to make it "all or nothing issue" that is not life. If you look at it as I am always going to be a bachelor that's a false reality. Who really knows if you're going to be married or not. Maybe you don't want to get married because the marriage your parents had left an impact. Since you can't find a substantial meaning in your life right now, then there is a lack of connection to this life; you're moving on friends made it obvious. What are you really afraid of? i am more than handy with investments in the stock markets as my father has taught me...don't take me for a fucking idiot i know how to do things...i'm just pissed because my friends are working so hard for maybe 4-5grand a pay check when i could get that much in a week on the stock markets or 5minutes talking to my parents....

deepcappy if you wana learn about the stock markets, i suggest downloading "AvaFX" it's where my old man taught me what i know now...ummm its virtually impossible to tutor you on here, i would literally need 3 computer screens to teach you anything worth while. so try to do it on avaFx its like a game version of the markets, you start with 100grand and try to increase it by reading the graphs and investing in the right stock, be it oil or silver. you get daily news release on there too so say a new mining company found a lovely vein of silver, you have to read the news realese find the proper company read the past candle sticks and ballinger bands and determine wether or not that stock will be worth buying into or selling if you have shares in it.
the stock market is an awesome way of gaining money...and of course vice versa last year i saw my dads friend buy in 55,000 shares of some stock at 36cents a share i dont remember what it was exactly but from what i heard his 55k shares costs him like 20grand on the market 41 days later that same share went from 36cents to 20 $ do the calc 55,000X20..asuming he sold out at 20 $ a share and manged to sell them all thats 1.1m made in 41 days....with that in mind another family friend lossed close to 300k last month thanks to the tokyo crisis..what happened? he checked his account and went to sleep, woke up at 10am and the stock he bought into had crashed significantly and he did not have a sell margin inplace..
also if you really want to get into this i think it costs 5grand to open an account, check it out with your bank.

I am 26 and I just got to the point in life where I am standing and looking around me and thinking what the hell now? ... I was at uni and when you are at uni you think the moment you are out there is a life out there ... but you finish your studies ... you come out and you just see that dead end, you see the routine, you see the people around you doing the same stuff over and over and you wonder "is this all there is to life?"
Well no, I refuse to believe so. But for me and many we don't have much choice, we are bound to stick with our boring ordianry lives because we can't afford to leave our jobs and seek our true purpose. We don't all have wealthy families, our options are limited. So look at it the positive way, you have a wealthy family, so you get time to sit down with yourself and explore your options. Think really hard, think about all the things that make you happy in life. What makes you happy BOA? ... for me I like helping people, but I couldn't be a doctor, nurse or a police, because I faint at the sight of blood. I did engineering, I thought that can help people somehow, but to be honest it isn't my muse. I try and help others in different ways.

I've met rich people who have more moral insight and love for those in need than the bastard who grew up poor who would more than gladly stab a friend to steal his lunch money for some crack. So WHAT if he's rich and his parents gave him everything, he deserves it because his parents probably worked really hard to provide that for him! If you resent that, bring it up with YOUR parents. Just because he's rich doesn't mean his values weigh any less, the guy is realizing his faults and is lost and confused and trying to find direction. It's not entirely your fault; part of it is bad parenting, they nurtured you too much and didn't teach you self-sufficiency. However, seeing that you realize you don't want to be in their shadow that is honestly really something because I knew a boy once who's very well off and could never admit he's a useless bastard who is just waiting for the will of his parents. At least you want to make something of yourself, that is hope. Honestly, you're turning 20, you've got a lot of time to find your calling. I've struggled with some of that as well. Everything on the outside is great but I want more, need more, worry about what I don't have...so on and on. In the end I had to get real with myself. If I wasn't happy it was because of me. When I started to make goals that I was truly wanting to do and did them is the only time I found peace. It felt right! I can place all sorts of things in my life to try to emulate true happiness and it will for a minute, but who wants that? Have fun but know who you are. Get your aries under control or else you will always feel like you're wondering around aimlessly. Do things you can be proud of from the inside out. Self fulfillment is going to be the only thing that settles that uneasiness in your mind. I want to be married and self accomplished (something I feel is a direct fruit of my labor),but if I am not careful my uneasiness and being impatient will run it all away.

judging from all your previous posts and this one, you seem to be all about immediate gratification (and i understand how appealing that can be. i'm an aries too so trust me, patience ain't one of my strongest points lol) but usually when something or someone is REALLY worth it, there's gonna be some hard work involved (both internal and external).
