LOL, I don't mind being in denial about my age.

I will remain whatever age I want, and maybe I have luck on my side, but it is 100% decision on my part to deny the world some hold over what dictates if I feel good or not based on my age.

Oh yeah I eventually get confronted with this head on when I go in for a job interview, or recognize that my friends are starting to be born after 1990 (WTF), but it is at least the one thing I allow myself to remain in denial about.

Screw anybody who wants to point out my age as something they don't want me to have flexibility about. I wish everyone that flexibility, if I am gonna be nice to everyone, let them be nice to me on this one thing!!!

Reasons For Old Folks to Hate Young Folks

All of the follwing are valid reasons for those of us that are "chronically enhanced"
to hate those newcomers, AKA, young people.

#1 They are younger ('nough said)
#2 If they are richer
#3 If they have more hair (particularly if you are male, really, ya' just gotta'
hate those hairy young bastards!)
#4 If they are taller than you (once again, a guy thing)
#5 If they walk on your lawn or pick your flowers (yeah, I know, cliche, but it
matters, dadnab it!!!)

Addeum

If they have a problem with you dating their grandmother/father, for any reason!

So, if you don't mind me asking, where were you hoping to be by now?

Feel free to ignore this query, because even I recognize it as being quite personal.

I can relate to that. I am a student also, if you had forgotten. It really seems to drag on and on, doesn't it.

Still, it will be over one day, and then hopefully off we both go to exciting new lives....

Oh dear - not sure if I am having a birthday related bout of depression or an epiphany...

by this stage of my life I thought I would be married and whipping up sumptuous meals for my husband -
now thinking I should donate my fabulous cook book collection to good will or someone who will use them

You just concentrate on gettin thru school. It's all ahead of you babe.
