Maybe I'm a Martian.....

I know it's weird, but I feel a certain 'fondness' for battle, and more specifically, swordplay I remember first laying eyes on that Jian, and how I felt just looking at it...I felt, well, 'elated'....like I met an old friend for the first time in a while....
what I find most odd is my ease/skill with the sword I have no formal training with it....my friend saw me just 'fooling' around with his sword a JIAN, ( one of three of my FAVORITE weapons) and was puzzled at how I moved with it....he said perhaps I was just 'gifted' with that weapon, but I can 'feel' a 'connection' with the blade....I analyze it, feel it's weight, and apply the proper form I feel will gain the maximum efficacy from the blade.....it's all subconscious though, I didn't know what I was doing until I 'did' it as it felt so 'natural'....any of you rams think it's just 'instinct' leading you or is it just a 'gift'—

Has this happened to you rams— Is it just a 'Martian' thing?....It's just odd, and cool at the same time....

Martians just ram/no shields or weapons - prob get hurt using sword - I'm kinda nervous at the of mention of sword! *shivers*

hmmmm....what do you think could make a person so 'drawn' to weaponry.....I mean as an earth sign, I could see the benefit from learning how to use a sword, but it's really not 'common place' in today's world.....but somehow, when I hold that sword, I feel like I could take on an army....

The Jian afterall, is the 'Sword of the Gentleman/Scholar'

My top 3 weapons are:

1.) Jian(straight sword)

2.) Dadao or just dao(chinese sabre)

3.) Hooked Swords....very exotic weapons

Do you think it needs to be justified? Or just seen as hobby, like playing a guitar...

May be a guy thing too - I know few guys that collect swords and like to talk about it - just like collecting WWI/WWII issues, etc...feeling of power maybe...

Don't think an attraction to swords is particularly an arian thing. I do like them, but don't have a fixation with them. Think of all the gun collectors out there. They run the gamut of astrological signs.

Also, the arian fondness for battle is more of a domination challenge, not an attraction to violence per se.

Really....I didn't mean to come that far across AF: you think I have an attraction to violence—....I guess I should be locked up 🙂 I like power, but of the personal kind....not relying on any weapon, and controling myself....Maybe it's my sun in the 8th house talking......


well ZA, couldn't YOU see it as a benefit to learn how to use a sword? Not just fun? I don't think you have to be an earth sign to see that, but if you asked me about my personal preference, I like it as a hobby/growth tool....

Um....more control=more technique...

I'm getting better at controling the blades.....but it's mostly just reactive/instinct....it'll take time to refine my technique, and the Jian require 'finesse & technique'....
