The Ascendant or rising sign in a horoscope represents the psychological
drive in you which seeks to make sense of your immediate experiences and to
organise them into some pattern of response which tends to become your
first-line method of dealing with the world. This pattern of response seems
natural to you, being difficult to modify as it is rooted in the unconscious.

The Sun in a chart represents the psychological drive towards discovering your
individual conscious direction in life, and the aspects to the Sun, together
with the sign and house containing the Sun will indicate what sort of person
you would really like to become, and how easy or difficult it is likely to be
for you to realise your goals through conscious self-development.

The Moon in your chart represents the psychological drive directed towards
expressing yourself in the world on the basis of your moods and feelings.
The Moon sign is likely to show how you feel most comfortable, and how you
behave in response to your feeling states spontaneously, without necessarily
having regard to whether or not your actions are also reasonable.

Mercury in your chart shows how you make a conscious attempt to organise
your experience at a conscious level. Since communication is such an import-
ant part of organisation, Mercury's place in the chart will say much about
how you talk with other people, and how you carry out the detailed steps in
running your life at a conscious level.

Venus in a chart indicates what sort of attitudes you hold about the world
around you, and what sort of values you place on various ideas and exper-
iences. It will show what sort of relationships you involve yourself in with
the purpose of gaining further objective understanding of other people and
the world in general, and will give an insight into your thinking processes.

Mars in your chart represents your psychological drive towards taking direct
action on the basis of a conscious appreciation of how you feel about someone
or something. Its sign and aspects show how you go about asserting yourself
and how you communicate your feelings towards other people in a conscious
way, and how you treat them according to your emotions.

Jupiter's position in the chart shows how you set about broadening your own
horizons through channels in which you have considerable faith, probably
because you were brought up to place a high value on these channels. Your
opinions about what is good and should be developed enthusiastically are
also indicated by Jupiter.

Saturn's position in your chart shows the nature of your conscience struct-
ure, and how you set about the task of self-discipline and laying down the
law to others. The reasons for your prejudices may be based on fear of
punishment, or on hope of reward for a task well done, depending on your
upbringing; in either case Saturn will show how well you conform.

Uranus represents the urge to do one's own thing, according to a set theory
about the world developed in response to an attempt to understand the
reasons behind society's rewards and punishments. Uranus shows where you
are likely to appear unpredictable and original, at least in the eyes of
society, and where you seek personal freedom from society's bonds.

Neptune shows the nature of your inner ideals developed in response to
what your conditioning taught you about what it is good to aspire to in
the outer world. It shows how you feel about your obligations to other
people, based on obligations you once felt towards others in childhood.
It also shows about the nature of your imaginative abilities.

Pluto in the chart represents the psychological drive towards the immed-
iate satisfaction of your unconscious primary drives. A considerable
amount of compulsion is asociated with Pluto, and since the motivations
underlying the action of Pluto are unconscious, this energy is likely
to manifest as the capacity for drastic and sweeping changes.

Having sun, moon & mercury in Aries, this is so interesting to read how the moon plays a part in your lives. I relate to everything except the super-aggressive aspect of the moon. Maybe it's the house? Having the moon in the 1st house seems to neutralize some of the more aggressive attributes.

Moon in I

Very sensitive. Fantasizes. She is easily frightened, she is fearful, shy, prudent and emotional.

Your feelings are right out there for everyone to see, and you can come across as emotional and impatient, or nurturing and caring (or both). Your first reaction is emotional, especially if the Moon is in close proximity (within ten degrees) of the Ascendant degree. You need emotional stimulation, movement, and freedom to express yourself in order to feel happy and fulfilled. Your moods are very changeable, and this can be quite obvious to others. Because of your emotional sensitivity, you might often take things too personally, and react too quickly. Developing an awareness that others' emotions are just as important, even if they are not as overt and immediate as yours, will be important.

Why is moon in the 1st so emo? I have sun & mercury in the 1st and it relates to Aries.

What houses are your moons?

I'd just like to take a moment and thank you Mistery for creating this thread. 🙂

Thank you sweetie! I noticed there are quite a lot of Aries moons on dxp. And Aries moons need to express more so than probably another moon sign. Let it all out here!

I dated an Aries once who pissed me off because he didn't like it when I either loved or hated something. There was no in-between. If I said I hated this or that, he'd say, "Oh, hate is such a strong word, pretty girls shouldn't hate."

AAAARRRRGGJJHHH! I hate that! Don't tell me what to feel. And yes, I LOVE or HATE and hate wishy-washy in-between.

you got a killer combo there..gotta hand it to you. However mine is even cooler since my Virgo moon is also supported by the awesome Virgo Sun 😄

thanks lol. but i hope your being sarcastic? that's dreadful shaka 😢 i feel sorry for you. 🙂

You would think so, but think about this for a second..the fact that Im more aware of the annoying Virgo traits than any other Virgos (as I have more inner Virgo in me than most of them 😛) makes it easier for me to take the conscious decision of not going along with those negative traits and make a conscious effort of cultivating the opposite ones 🙂 this is also greatly helped by the fact that fire is the most common element in my chart 🙂

lol i didn't think of that perspective? and you have libra rising too? and leo somehwere? so that makes you a very interesting virgo. then again what virgo is the same anyway?

it must be weird having both sun and moon in the same planet? because when you look closely at someone and people in fact, you can always decipher and work out the sun from the moon and how that affects them and there relationships. if of course you know the placements. but if someone had both in the same planet i can imagine how much they must crave something else?
but it's good if try and cultivate other attributes i think

Yes..it gets to that point sometimes. In fact the most fulfilling experiences Ive had were those were I threw myself into things with no previous deliberation (Venus and Mars in Leo), totally blocking the Virgo in me in the process 😛 its somethign that gets easier with age.

EXACTLY! letting loose as it were. i'm not saying i know exactly what you mean, but i do bit because of the virgo moon

i can't relate to that bit about men running away.

i do enjoy a good chase and can be turned off by guys who pursue me too heavily (there's no prize to win when he's giving it away) but i think that's veering more into venus than the moon because venus for women deals with relations not the moon.

as far as emotions, overall, i do run hot as fast as i run cold. i'm rarely if EVER am *truly* angry. if i'm yelling or ranting, that's playful more than that is angry/hurt.

for me, i think aries is weird in that way. outwardly it looks like a firestorm and inwardly i'm just enjoying a good tussle.

if i'm *truly* hurt/angry, i actually become quieter and more sullen, not louder and more brash.

this is exactly it! that's why we are misunderstood, and people don't get us, because people don't understand our need for fun and play. aries is the infant, and infants and babies love to play. unfortunately people in more evolved serious signs take serious offense to this and take it personally instead of playing with us back which startles me and catches me by surprise. it's a selfish thing we do for our enjoyment and our own fun. that's when people say "oh aries always cause arguemnts" not really because it's usually the other person who took offense and turned it into an arguement. iv'e doe it on here through pm's and iv'e been caught off guard when the person replies with something of the same kind and style . as oppose to reacting negatively to it, which then i have to think on my feet with an even better response.
much likea cancer is like with people with emotional clingness we're the same but just with fire and more zest 🙂

This is how Earth with Fire Moon works:

Taurus ( slooooow yawn and stretch, my don't the flowers outside smell good? *drifting back to sleep* )

Moon ( Get your lazy buns up out of bed woman! )

Taurus ( But it's so lovely here, so warm and soft, and I'm sleeeeepy )

Moon ( RIGHT NOW, lazy heifer! )

Taurus ( Alright, alright, drill sergeant! SHEESH )

Another ...

Taurus ( Isn't he a lovely man? )

Aries ( Get him, own him )

Taurus ( I should take it slow, get to know him.. )

Aries ( Slam his butt and brand it )

Taurus ( Back it up there... )

Aries ( NOW, get him NOW, let the blaze rage on and CLAIM )

😛

This is my mental scenario of how Earth signs work:

Taurus = "Ohh this earth smells, feels and tastes so nice...Im staying here (fixed) and indulge in it (=Venus)" 😛

Virgo = "Wake the fuck up! stop lazying around! help produce something useful for everyone out of all that earth..so first step is to classify whats useful and what isnt, alright..I can use my Mercurial powers for that". (mutable)

Cap = "This is going way too slow and inneficient, we need more people to get all this classifying done, lets start (cardinal) a COMPANY! (= Saturn) and its got to be PROFITABLE too!"

lol so right about virgo. and that's why i know lots of caps who sell weed 🙂
