An age gap of eight years is generally considered acceptable in relationships. Compatibility depends on shared values, communication, and mutual understanding rather than age alone. While some friends may have opinions, many successful relationships have similar age differences. Focus on your connection and whether you both are happy together.
Sorry, I mean 7 years difference.
I was 7 1/2 years older than my ex and we were together for 8 years. Other things broke us up but the age thing wasn't a real big deal. Why should it bother people so much. If you really feel something for her and she for you then go for it. If it were the other way around no one would bat an eye at it so it really shouldn't matter in this scenario either.
That's my two cents!
🙂
I don't see the big deal.
Do your friends not like her or just her age?
Thanks so much everyone.
My friends have never met her. I guess it's a bit of traditional thinking and a bit that my age is sort of make or break about having kids - If I date someone younger, kids are possible and if someone older, it's less likely to have kids.

Yes, this is something you need to work out for yourself. But I wouldn't go around telling her age to everyone if I were you. It's not their business.
Her age wouldn't matter if she was 38 and you were 45 would it? Probably not..

I am 38 and she is 45. Is it bad? All my friends seem to be against this...
What do you guys think?
