to be honest, aries people are very encouraging in general..sometimes we have to say that stuff for the person to feel good and we like making people happy. Maybe, depends on what it was. If it's something that you genuinely put your all in, then yes. For us admiration comes from respect first. So if he says he's proud, that means he really is. BUT, if it was something that you finally got, after attempting it with minimal effort-probably not, but he said that to be nice.
