Spontaneous reactions?

I don’t pay much attention to rising signs and why they’re so important. I’ve always understood it’s how others perceive you and the impression you give off.

I was just googling it and didn’t even click on anything yet. Just read the short summary that pops up first:

“Your Rising sign-also known as your ascendant-represents the way others see you, your general impression on people, and your spontaneous reactions. It reflects the Zodiacal sign that was ascending on the eastern horizon the moment you were born.”

So why is it mostly how others perceive you but also has to do with spontaneous reactions?

I thought reactions would more have to do with moon sign.

Interesting thought though about moons covering spontaneous reactions. Im thinking on it...moon mars combo makes more sense to me. Unless you're attracted..then venus joins.

More I think about it less simple it is.

It does make sense that your spontaneous reactions and how you come across to an acquaintance or co-worker all ties into how you come across and are perceived.

And that’s interesting about the Mars Moon combo. With my Venus being the same as my Mars, then that would mean there’s no difference for me if attraction is there or not?

Different signs/rising react differently to different stuff.

Like if a giant ACME anvil for example fell out of the sky and crushed a starbucks, some signs (like Aries or Sags) might weather the boom and then run toward it, see who needed help..other signs (like Gems, maybe Libras) would grab their phones...other signs (like Scorps) would put their shades back on or put their hand to their earpieces...other signs (like virgo) try to analyze wtf just happened.

Which I'd do..I'd react by unplugging from it.. try to assess objectively.

but thats more because of my moon..lol

I'm sure moon will play a role in how we react, how we feel on a particular day will dictate how we will react to an incident.

Mars- Uranus for unexpected out of the blue, "Did I just do that shit?" Type reactions

Mars/Pluto would be more like plotting someone's slow death and acting on it

I wonder how mars/Neptune would react? All in their head I guess

Mars/moon would be territorial reactions when it comes to people they love, more of a protective instinct

Rising is interesting. It is more along the lines of the theme of your innerself. I will use myself for example

Saturn opposition ascedent: basically I have issues expressing my true self. Something holds me back. I don't feel comfortible being myself around people takes a long time to warm up. I show my sun virgo and venus libra.

When people get to know me or I'm with family and I drop my gaurd will see the taurus. Which is very strong in my chart. Either that way or you will only see it when I get emotional or just feel vomforible enough around you to express my emtions. I have moon conjuction with rising(asedent) so Taurus moon but also Sun virgo opposition moon. Which amplies this disconnect.

I seriously feel like two different people sometimes. Like different modes of thought and feeling. My chart reflects this too. A lot of trines connected to taurus. It is difficult to stay in alignment for me. I'm a special case I suppose because of this but the first paragraph definity applies to this thread.

See this is where I get really confused about astrology. You understand your chart a lot. I’ve been here for two years and I’ve learned some, but not enough.

So Saturn is in opposition of your ascendant. I still don’t understand what that means. In my head I’m thinking, one is a planet, and the other is an astrology sign.

When planets are in conjunction or opposing or trines, I get lost.

I’ve never even had my natal chart explained to me so I’m trying to figure it out myself and I still can’t read it, haha.

I can relate to a lot of what you said, the Taurus’s in my life seem to behave similarly. But the whole two people, everyone assumes that’s a Gemini thing. And I don’t really believe that.

Initially I was curious about rising sign, because I thought that was just how we all see each other on the surface. Nothing deeper, just how we’re perceived.

And the very short paragraph I read said there’s more to it. So I was intrigued, and I’m trying to understand it all.

Are you able to detach from almost any situation, look for the best solution and go into it with knowledge and the hope of trying to make it better?

I feel like this combo would never act impulsively. Virgos and Aqua’s feel strong emotions, no certain sign is all cold or all stubborn. But these two can seem that way at times ime. I just see through the ones I know and know they’re not cold. More guarded and careful.

I notice some similarities with Virgo and Aqua. Very smart. Book smart. They don’t forget anything. They’ll remind you 5 years later about something you said and can recite a conversation word for word that happened 11 years ago.

lmao my moon is scorp and my reaction would be that way,even when people are running towards what happened i would just calmly put my ear piece back on and would be like 'meh',i woudnt say the same about my scorp gf with libra moon aqua rising though(she would definitely analyze what happen if its dangerous or not) i piss her off everytime with this kind of reaction from me

I react quickly and people see me as confident....outspoken, and i am a defender of people (as was my Aries dad)
