Patti disappeared in June 2001 after knocking off her 2nd shift job at exactly nine seconds past midnight & was never heard from again. Patti was in an on/off 2-year relationship with her married co-worker, Brian Flowers. Patti have told friends & family that she & Brian were going away on a secret trip to Canada the day she went missing. And the details of the trip were a bit suspicious for a sane mind to compute 1) he told her the area is so remote that the wouldn't be any phone network coverage 2) he told her not to bring any clothes because they'll be buying them over there & 3 THE MOST SHOCKING ONE, he told her to clock-out quickly at work without being seen & go hide under the cover of his car...the plastic cover thingy that covers the rear of a van. She did as she was told & she is now missing.
Brian is a great scam artist for he have told Patti that in order for him to leave his wife, he needed some cash to buy his brother inlaw out of their shared business. And ofcourse Patti gave Brian over $ 90 000 to speed up their happily ever after together. Brian refused to have any evidence of the money exchange because he didn't want his wife to know that he was planning to leave her. At least that's the reason he gave to Patti. Bullshit!
So when Patti saw that he wasn't making any moves to dissolve the marriage, she asked for her money back. That's when he came up with the fictitious trip to Canada.
This case is so heartbreaking because it's clear who did it & why. But the police are still dragging feet.
Patti was a Taurus, by the way. So sad.
