Sun and Mercury here, I gotta say it definitely attracts some weird and unusual things to my life. Not to mention fascination with the occult, death and near death experiences, transformation, intuitiveness and all sorts of other things that only Scorpios are equipped to handle =p

Yeah all the time! It's always some extreme stuff too that most of my peers can't really relate.

It's like a strange understanding about the world around you through some of the most fucked up experiences. (at least it has been for me)

Oh yea it's insane I feel the exact same way. I feel that some other people are trigger objects for that sort of thing, also since it is in my moon. If I know someone has a negative influence on my emotions in a constricting way since my moon is in sag oh boy...

It happened a couple months ago tic tic tic boom! Before I knew it I was disoriented with a strange rugged nurse over me asking me to take off my pants, so she could give me a shot in my arse...

Referring to the death part of it...

And even then, it's still not close to being exact, and highly frowned upon in the astrological community.

Hell, I'm fascinated by death, and not even I will take predictive astrology far enough to determine a death sentence. Tempting fate is a no no and likely to bring bad karma your way.

Yeah, predictive astrology is cool and can put things into a different perspective--because we're all here to learn, right--but it's not a science, and I kinda like to think that I choose my own fate =)

Here's a story though: just few days ago I was walking home from a bar and some loser grabbed me and put a gun to my head asking for my money. Well no-fucking-body gets my money, so I was a dick right back to him. "Kill me if you want, but fuck you" kinda-thing. The asshole pulled the trigger and nothing happened--OBVIOUSLY! So I kicked his ass and took off, but here's what I remember standing out the most. I knew that I wouldn't die, I mean I was scared, but I remembered that my 'prediction' for 8th house in Taurus said that I would die of natural causes at a ripe old age and just had a feeling that I would live to see another day. I don't know if the prediction had anything to do with it or what it was...but, I just figured I would share that interesting (8th house) experience.

I attract some of the oddest people to my life at times too. Some worse than others, but almost always far from 'normal'.

I often find myself dealing with loss (of everything, including people), facing my own demise and experiencing that life-changing experience more than a couple times...just bad stuff! That's why I called it a curse =3

Wow, is right. That was a fucking stupid move and you got lucky. Over money? I don't care what my chart says... Someone puts a gun to my head, i'm not messing around. Take the damn cash. Not worth risking my life.

I was pissed! I mean, that guy was trying to strong arm me! Taurus or not, nobody fucks with me like that...better kill me or you will wish you did. I am a lover not a fighter too though, and just always trying to have a good time. It was only after the fact I thought of astrology, and in one of those many thoughts that cross through your mind in the seconds that pass so quickly. Ah, it's not the first time either, and probably won't be the last that some fucked up shit happens.

Yes sir, you're absolutely right!

Fate is a funny thing though; probably shouldn't tempt it, but what if it's someone else's fate to tempt mine? Ah, the philosophy behind it is too deep for me.

I'm still convinced that it's all correlated to this wicked 8th house placement though =)

wow guys. dealing with the moon in the 8th house is hard enough. Things, I've noticed my world filled with ghosts, literal, imagined, speculative. My friends, family, lovers repeatedly see my disappearing act. We're not apathetic, just adrift. Can be a real killer to your social life at times. Also, I'd fathom that dealing with failures in relationships or disappointments in the professional realm can be extremely difficult. Some are right downward spirals, a system melter. My release is a heavy dose of physical exercise and healthy risk taking.

He's a Mess. lol.
Sometimes he just disappears for years and no one knows what he's doing or where he is.

I have Jupiter and Chiron in the 8th House and I had a Near death experience when I was in Coma for 8 Hours.
Since then, I'm sure there is another dimension for our souls and I truly believe in destiny.
Death is something truly beautiful and nothing to fear. But its absolutley normal human behaviour to fear death.
The most important thing in Life is Love and Education.

My Katu and my Vortex are both in the 8th house, I don't know if that is good or bad—

My Eros may also be in the 7th or 8th house; not sure yet, still researching.

This reminds me of Elizabeth Taylor with 8th house Jupiter. She had also many near death experiences. Her Chiron was in square to jup.

Yes! 8th house Sun, mercury, Jupiter and Chiron. Talk about people negatively projecting onto me and truly experiencing all the pain the world has to offer (for the better).

Does anyone else agree that having strong 8th house influence is a very interesting and cruel curse?

It is surely an indicator that one has a lot of capacities to interact with intimacy and finding the truth, but it really depends how you use your power. I don't really see how it can be cruel, unless you have unresolved pains or poor ethical boundaries. Maybe your celestial bodies in the 8th house are badly aspected with other astral items. Maybe your partners have had a bad synastry with these items, which led you to conclude your 8th house stellium is an issue.

I've got four planets in the 8th in Capricorn (Uranus, mercury, Neptune and Saturn) and two in the 12th in Taurus (Mars and jupiter). I'm really not sure how they affect me, I have quite a melancholy streak and I feel like I am at my best when put up against the wall in high stress life situations. No deaths so far touch wood. But because they are not the sun moon and ascendant maybe I'm not so affected, not sure.

Hmm... I haven't had near death experiences myself. I've participated in extreme sports a lot and been to hospital for a small handful of injuries. Just broken bones, stitches and concussions. But I've never thought for a second I was going to die. I handle emergencies well, but I haven't had to handle any deadly emergencies.

8th house Virgo
Sun Virgo in 8. house
Mercury Libra in 8. house
Jupiter Virgo in 8. house
Saturn Virgo in 8. house
Pluto Libra in 8. house

I have had a number of relatives pass away on me due to illness. No accidents. I'd hate to think that had anything to do with me. These things happen.
