Afflictions in astrology

what are afflictions?

Damage. Squares, Oppositions, and sometimes conjunctions to personal planets.

A sun affliction by saturn can be a hard aspect, for example Saturn conjunct, or square the sun.

Afflications..
Things that cause issue (primarily due to irrelavancy)
