I Am a Virgo rising.Which REALLY f*cks thins up for me! I can be OCD, And when i bake and cook "like a typical cancer should" ..if it isnt perfect, no way in hell will i serve it. I Dont like being bugged when i am in my kitchen. I am also a clean freak, i take between 2 to 3 showers a day,and my house is not only cleaaaaaaaaaaaan, my dvds are in alphabetical order from categorys of drama,comedy,action etc,seperated by these fabulous looking book ends. My house is cozy with touches of glam,which i am sure my Leo moon has to do with ithat. I Have to have everything perfect. Cancer w/ leo moon and virgo rising can equal a hot mess! LMAO

clue: if you are damn good looking and charming you have a fire rising(like sagittarius)
if you your face is pointy and you look like you're going to bite someone you might have scorpio rising.

i think cancer rising is the worst one to have. because i read somewhere they are like sponges, prone to a lot of things. and moody

i have aquarius rising, and yes, others often perceive me as... different. right off the bat. these are the comments i regularly receive: "you're strange!", "you're a voodoo woman", "you cast a spell on people". seriously. wtf is with that?

when it comes to looks, i like my ascendant. i am 23 degrees aqua rising which i read is the libra decan. these people are supposed to be quite attractive! i hope for my sake it's true!

you're rising sign is very important.it's more how others see us,rather than how we see ourselves (we kind of unconsciously display these traits)although if we really look we can see them from the outside looking in.what's your moon sign?

Actually I never got that part. I know rising signs are important, but the whole "how other people see us" thing... So I'm Leo but people kind of see me as Taurus. So what if I acknowledge the Taurus in me (which I do) then the whole logic of "how other people see me rather than how I see myself" is lost , right?

I hope not because I don't even know what my rising is. Some sites say Aries some say Taurus. My parents can't figure out EXACT time that I was born and its not on my birth certificate. Plue I live in the US but was born overseas. So that my play a part as well.

But from the physical description Taurus seems to fit me pretty well. Tho, I don't get along with taurus men at all. The females are cool tho. The Aries rising characteristics description fits me too. Except I do think before I react. But I have very little patiences, very much a go-getter and don't care for much authority. I get along very well with all fire signs.

I'm a libra sun Cancer moon myself. I'm glad you've learned to find a way to mix the two elements, It drives me crazy. I give off this detacted attitude but is actually extremely emotional on the inside. The libra in me hates emotions tho. I'm learning to calm down this cancer. In my younger days I was a total crab...lol

im called a sweetheart. why....idk. i have a way with words lol. ummm yes its one of the three important aspects of your chart. probly the most dominate factor. for one it represents how others percieve you...like mine is in scorpio. maybe people feel drawn too me (possibly the opposite sex more than same sex) people dont know much about me yet trust me with thier secrets and thier woes. haha. idk. it also dictates your physical appearance. i have more of a short stocky body, not really skinny but if i worked out id have nice muscles haha. a square/round face with penetrating green eyes and small but full mouth. i guess you can see in the pic lol. but overall its basicly your personality. you can have a diffrent element sun but your ascendant...is what people will guess before they know your sun. im a cap but im super lazy. lol

yes they are...in fact they are more important than ur sun sign, unless ur rising is leo, in which case ur sun sign is important...

the rising sign is not just a "mask"...it determines the planet that rules ur chart, i.e. ur chart ruler...and the house ur chart ruler is in will give u an idea of what areas in life u'll naturally gravitate towards

if u have a stellium of planets or a few planets in ur 1st house, this will modify ur chart ruler interpretation..in other words, make things a lot more complicated when trying to decipher the kind of person u are... 🙂

That's interesting. So that means Venus rules my chart. The only dodgy thing I can see about that is that I have Venus in the 12th house. 😢

I do like my Taurus rising though, it grounds me.

I dont think that people I meet for the first time would think of me "She is a clean freak" or something like that, I think it's more the moon that influences us and how we act in our social life. I am more a clean freak alone like at home, for example when my room is a mess I will think "I really need to clean up now!" and do it, so in that way I dont really get the whole "the rising sign is how other people see us"...
And how does your rising sign influence your look? I never got that. Someone who knows what virgo rising would make you like when it comes to appearance? =)

HAHAHA That explains alot. I have a LEO moon, i am EXTREMELY sociable. I am sweet and loving and i always have people calling me wanting to hang out. I was invited to 6 halloween parties this month. I dont think my halloween costume will make it through 6! I am going as a Naughty Snow White hehe! My date book is ALWAYS full!!! Its not even FUNNY!!! And because my virgo rising, if a gentleman is coming over, i must squeeky clean the house. Even though my guy friends are like "I Dont think its your house hes worried about" i do the whole, shave everything,smell good bath,dress up crap. LOL I Aint a typical cancer!

My Scorpio rising is an immensely strong influence in my life, to the point on occasion I feel more Scorpionic than Arian, which is my sun sign. For example, I tend not to take everything people say at face value, I can easily hold a grudge, and I'm very in tune with people's emotions and I am very good at figuring out people's weaknesses and secrets.

I am a full-out Scorpio, with Leo rising....and yes, of course I have big hair! ;P
