I think the ego thing is not sign related by how the individual coop with environmental stress and if there is any core valuation problem. I believe is rather seeking of validation. Those type of people rather asking questions than making statements. Those with higher level or healthier level of confidence can back up their statements, hence this not interested in either positive or negative criticism. For them, things just "is"
