One thing i like about astrology is facing my negative tendencies and traits. I've been focusing more recently on houses and aspects.

So I'm curious.. What are some problematic placements & aspects you have that you are working on, struggling with, or have overcome? How have you succeeded? What has held you back? Does being aware of your placement strengthen you or make you feel helpless?

Ssupes, I was a "Why?" child. Every single answer I got was returned with, "But WHY?" Question everything. I have a deep need to understand.. people, situations, problems. When learning in school or at work I only grasp it if I thouroughly understand what purpose it serves.. which seems a bit odd actually because while I am often quite rational and logical I am also very comfortable with abstract thinking and concepts. Libra balance I guess?

Hey, you were faster than me. I wanted to create a "but" thread. Like this:

Snakes have incredible follow-through, once they get going.
but
Their coworkers and employees had best stay on their toes, lest they anger the Snake and suffer its poisonous bite!

Anyway good idea.

Good question. I could write a book about this haha.

Problematic placements - Leo Moon, Libra Mars, and Libra Venus. In a nutshell, these placements combined used to make me care too much about what others think and not assertive enough in standing up for myself because I didn't want to look bad/offend anyone.

Being aware has definitely made me feel more empowered to change and grow. For the past 10 years I have consciously tried to take on challenges that would help me overcome these limitations. So far so good 🙂 My friends who know me well (work with them and socialize), say I am too nice sometimes, and tries to be very fair. Well, that's the feedback I have gotten on my leadership style. I'm Ok with it for now.

I'm learning through my Virgo Sun friend who a Cap moon and other Caps in my life, how to be more practical and realistic.

I'm in training for a new career (previously in business and management), and have learned a lot from my 4 mentors. Their sun signs are Aries, Leo, Libra, and Cancer. No mutables 🙂

I think I was meant to to have them in my life during this shitty Saturn Return. So they deserve credit too 🙂

My sag venus is driving me nuts, but I have come to accept it and I do like some parts of it. It just doesn't seem to go with the rest of my personality, so it freaks me out at times. But here, astrology has really helped me get it.

My grand trine in water is a blessing and a curse. Again: thank you astrology. I have seen the traits in me relating to this configuration, but I never "got it" until astrology explained it to me.

My sun - moon opposition, I am working on.

My three T-Squares, I am also working on, but I'm in the very beginning of that.

My pisces mars is to me an enigma. I have really worked on it, but there are very few of the traits there that I can identify with. I honestly don't think I will ever get that.

My cancer dominated chart. I do have many cancer traits, but not so much as it should be my dominant sign, and moon being my dominant planet. I don't get it. I'm working on it.

I think one of the biggest benefits I've gotten from astrology is not trying to reduce weaknesses but instead focusing on what I'm good at. Maybe it's because I've never been good at getting rid of weaknesses, I don't know. I just fare better when I use my strengths as hard as I possibly can--playing the best game with the hand you have instead of trying to get better cards.

Always a good idea to focus on the positive. I have to actively remind myself of that though. I like to have a balanced perspective but life is simply more enjoyable when you choose to focus on the good.

I agree sooooooooo much.

Also completely agree. That's some gem advice right there. _—

But playing your hand the best you can includes making your sucky cards less sucky. Imo.

When it comes to dating though. I am not sure I just have to be in that situation to even be brought up, and I won't even say anything.. otherwise if your attention seeking and I spot it by just observation.. and I can feel it as a vibe which you can tell...leave it alone or just be upfront and communicate...

My fear is discovery.. because I am a Taurus it's brought up..

I just think that if you watch what you feel are your sucky cards really closely, you may find that they can actually be quite useful if handled well. It's really satisfying, imo, to use negatives to your advantage, and I strongly believe that there is at least one positive to every negative - you just need to find what it is.

Yes. Long before I was interested in astrology I would think to myself (when feeling negative); how can i channel this negative, frustrated energy into something positive and beneficial? It was an optimistic viewpoint if nothing else.

I also believe every cloud has a silver lining.

In my research about my aspects I could easily get frustrated but there are definitely positive possibilities if I choose to make it so. I like the astrologers who focus on that versus seeming as if every square will bring a personal apocalypse.

Absolutely. And in a way that is playing to your strengths. I do think it's really good, if not necessary, to look at your weak points too, because even if you end up not being able to make them as good as you would have liked, you are aware of them, which is also a huge advantage. Getting to know yourself - strenghts AND weaknesses is imo one of the most important lessons out there and will bring you closer to being as good as you can possibly be. Imo.
