Capricorn with aries moon always pessimistic

So a friend of mine that i know for more then 16 years always tells me i need to be realistic to the point where he drives me fcking crazy. We had a talk after a few years of not seeing each other and i told him i wanna go back to school to do game art animation he immediately says that is impossible next thing i told him i started streaming since a few months so he was like do you already earn a living with it. I said no i don't streaming is for the long term not short term most streamers don't earn a living until 1,2,3 years so he said i can guarantee you that will never happen you need to be realistic.

So i said but that's what i wanna do so he says look at where you are right now you're 26 almost 30 he himself is 33 is married has 2 kids has been in jail for about a year and now since a year has a normal job and some black business on the side. So i said you know it takes a lot for me to focus on one thing and most of the times i back down after a while but this time i was very consistent for at least a year where as normally

after 2 months i already say this is actually not what i want.

I was furious i've had countless jobs did jobs that i didn't like etc tried to save money for school went to different short courses but never knew what i wanted until a year ago i had a hard time and i really want this and he says you're not gonna be able to do that because you have to work with computers then he asked a question do you know what this is and that is ? so i said no but game art animation is not what you think it is and he kept insisting on that he knew what he was talking about

Would you listen to his advice and how would you handle it ?

He has been like that since we know each other and it has never changed

luckily we never did hahaha he is older then me 33 i am 26 but he sees me as his little sister he says but in the past things did happen as in he did try something while being with his current partner (15 years) My brother is one too and my stepdad is a leo with capricorn moon so i grew up in a very pessimistic environment always got talked down. I'm a virgo but i have a sagittarius moon and ascendant i absolutely hate negativity it makes me very demotivated and depressed

I would never date one they fuck up my vibe they are supportive friends but too damn critical even more then a virgo if i must say and controlling
