Well I sure know what I didn't like - group activities, going to the board, getting called on when I didn't have my hand raised, making/doing things that others would see such as hanging up drawings. I was too self conscious and not confident enough in my abilities. I just wanted to be left alone unless I volunteered. Oh, and games where you HAD to participate were also nerve wracking. I liked ones where if you knew the answer, you could volunteer to answer.

What I liked about teachers was more their personality traits. I liked funny teachers, ones that weren't too strict. I did enjoy when teachers gave out stickers and candy when you did good on tests or answered questions correctly. I held on to those stickers for a while!

Yeah, I wouldn't suggest you call on the quiet ones who are clearly shy and or self conscious. I know some teachers purposely do it to get the kid out if their comfort zone and more involved which I understand but theres other ways. I enjoyed when the teacher would give us a math problems to solve and everyone would write their answer on their whiteboard. I also enjoyed the jepordy and trivia games. Challenge them, make them compete in a fun way. Im an Aries so of course I enjoyed things like that lol.

I watched a video about teaching in other cultures. In Japan, most of the kids enjoyed going to the board to solve math problems and they weren't embarrassed when corrected. This was because all the students were taught to help each other (the students would correct other students mistakes) and to not be ashamed of being wrong. It's something that might not work with our culture, but if you can find that video, I think it would be an interesting thing for teachers to watch. It also included other countries like China.

Interesting. I tell mt children its ok to make mistakes , but maybe sometimes i contradict myself when i get upset after ive repeated myself 20 times and they still dont know it.

There are some kids who felt stuff about teachers? Either they were ok or I hated them. Not because they were bad just because your teachers are never going to be your friend.

I wouldn't look at star signs etc. It's dangerous to pigeon hole kids.

They just did their job. I was partial to none over the other and I can't remember their names to be honest.

I would look more towards teacher training and child development etc. But it's up to you. You know the kids.

Alot of my kids want to see me outside school & want me to go to their house / play w them. Haha
Some even send me audios from their parents phone telling me they love me (:
I guess its because im very involved w them on an emotional level. When they are upset about something they usually come crying & tell me what happened at home ( in the beginning of the class). Plus everyday before they go home i give each one of them a hug so that if anything happened that day / we upset eachother etc , they know that theyre forgiven - or that i still care about them.

It used to bring such anxiety and panic.

I know, some of them are just evil when they do that stuff. Somehow I feel like someone planned this. The games a foot.

I love teachers who worked hard, update themselves, have wide knowledge and really make us THINK in ways we didn't before.. And those who really found ways to test my sincerity or my effort. My political science professor was like that and is probably the best teacher i ever came across.. ALWAYS willing to help, read up and discuss.. Her KNOWLEDGE, oh God! I felt very active in her classes.

She was Gemini sun and Cap moon.

Sadly most of them don't exist today.

Wow- This sounds exactly like my political science professor! She was the only professor i had who i felt wasn't pushing a certain political agenda- She would present multiple views, yet leave things open-ended so you could form your own perspective, and your own opinion. It's been 5 years since i graduated, and i still talk to her on Skype.

To the op: Just be present, and make yourself available. My most favorite teachers were the ones whom i felt it was okay to ask questions- I had one math teacher in 7th grade who gave up her lunch hour to work with me. I always appreciated the effort she made. I understand not everyone can do that due to circumstances- like having to many kids- but any type of effort on an individual level, surely won't go unnoticed.

One suggestion I have is that you take learning disabilities into account as well. I'm an Aries sun with a Libra moon, so you wouldn't expect me to be shy. However, I had and still deal with ADD. I was highly introverted in school due to embarrassment, feeling so out of place all of the time. I was never into being called on, forgot putting me on the spot! I had zero confidence.
I had different interests, a hard time focusing and a lot of the time, things had to be repeated for me.. And it's never due to a lack of intelligence. Most people assume that a disorder negates proper thinking and how receptive a child is to common knowledge. That's not the case. We just have different learning styles and require a bit more patience. They really do want to learn and make you proud, I promise!
I know it'll be hard to find out what children may or may not have these sorts of setbacks, especially if no one's informed you. But perhaps it'll help you take notice to this sort of thing, if you haven't already. Not saying you aren't aware.

I do also have a twelfth house moon, so that has been a large part of my introversion, I'm slowly as an adult becoming more extroverted. I'd call myself an ambivert lol but as a kid, I was sort of shut down. I didn't have a proper base of support and tools to help me deal with it the way that I learned to on my own later in life. It would've been nice to have a teacher who supported me when I was trying to navigate my way through that.
