1.No,I just google
2.^
3.I wish to
4.Umm Yes ?I've hardly seen anyone's charts being interpreted or questions being answered. So I preferred staying away
5. I'd love to be involved.. But I don't think I'll be able to understand if it's not for someone who knows, say, almost nothing. Then I'd just sit back n watch.

Well to all who are interested, I'm thinking of making a thread like on chart interpretation board.
Anyone wanting the experience first hand can give a shot at it. I think I'll use my chart as an example, since that's the only way I can promise actual feedback without the person getting their chart looked at getting pissed over a negative view of an aspect they have.

I'll also do it Capricorn style, you'll all see where to focus on the basic and foundational parts and then will progress to where you'll see how all those aspects and placements work together in a person's chart.

I'll even offer sites and books that I think would be beneficial for everyone who's involved.

1.]How many here can read charts?
I'm a noob.

2.] How many aren't confident in their skills in reading charts?
I'm a noob.

3.] How many wish to see the step by step process in how to read a chart?
Sure. Ofc, that depends on how it's done.

4.] Do you know we have a Chart Interpretation board?
Yes.

5.] If a thread was made to help people feel more confident with their skills by gaining experience reading a chart, would you want to be involved or simply sit back and watch it play out?
That would depend greatly on how it was done.

Hmmm I like to think I can read charts somewhat decently. Better on the fly than sitting down with a book if only for the sake of my attention span. I very rarely do readings though because a lot of people have unrealistic expectations about getting to see every detail of their lives in five minutes. Stuff takes time.

1) I'm good at reading them, not so much interpretation

2) I can interpret placements OK, but aspects are a bitch; still haven't gotten that one figured out

3) I think it would be helpful because reading from a site like Astro, without any feedback, is hard.

4) Yes, I posted there once. Not a lot of insight, although some that was helpful. I had to PM Tiz to get his azz over there and tell me what it is. He hadn't shut off his PM's yet (yay for me!)

5) Yes, but I think it's intimidating when people who know more start going off on tangents to the original topic when people are trying to learn the basics. I would lose interest if all of a sudden posts in a thread got much deeper than I'm familiar with. My eyes glaze over at that point. Someone would have to moderate and I don't know how realistic thay would be.

By "can read a chart," you mean like know lots of answers at first glance? Like house placements, aspects, how it all interacts?

I have kind of general ideas of what's going on but I don't have the full picture at first glance.

I'd appreciate such a thread and glance at it from time to time, depending on whatever I happened to be interested in at any given time.

1. Yeah
2. Confident enough
3. I'd just leave it as it is until duncan can be fucked organising a sticky function
4. Yep which generally doesn't net a lot of quality threads on actual chart interpretation
5. If I'm around long enough sure.

Great questions! πŸ™‚

1. I can read charts in a general way, but my interpretation is based on astrological theories that makes sense to me (many don't) combined with what stands out in the specific chart I'm looking at - an intuitive perception that makes me zero in on something, or several things, rather than every last thing in a chart. I only answer specific questions about charts when I can "see" what the person is asking really clearly and it feels important/useful to share that with them.

2. I'd like to learn more to enhance the mechanics of reading a chart, yes, not so much to improve confidence but competence.

3.Yes, I'd like to learn a step by step approach because that makes learning easier.

4.Yes, I've looked at that board but the way I read charts doesn't work that well with what people usually ask (or don't ask).

5. Yes, I would definitely read the thread and participate if I had something to contribute/ask.

2) I'm only slightly confident in reading them.
3) is that something that could be different depending on who you are?
4) yes
5) would love such a thing

"LindaLand is far heavier on detailed chart interpretation.

Kind of a boring site though. They overanalyze everything, and there's heavy censorship.

I was banned for calling someone an idiot."

well, dxp is the place to be for water and earth signs. Duncan is Cancer. I read dxp is Cancer. Here you can call people what you want. As that Taurus xxxo called us "crazies". Wait a minute, I have Moon in water too.

Here is the place to live by emotions. even if going in circles.

that place is SOOO PINK.
it's got some good info, when i google something in astrology and that place comes up alot.
who owns it??

the number of water sign members represented on DXP is truly scary actually. I only just noticed this past week how I'm in completely the wrong place. Very lobsided here.

NO! You are very much in the right place. gotta balance all that water out!

*ties Tiz to the DXP pole*

I'm sure I will put my nose in it down the line, but right now it wouldn't be constructive since my conj and opp are in different signs than those mentioned. But I'm listening πŸ™‚

Ah, aspect by degrees, not sign.
Could point that out. I was going cover situations like that later on.
