Decan's Ruler Influence

One of the things that really shocked me when I started studying astrology was the accuracy depicting my friends. Specially my fire and earth friends. They certainly got most of the traits of it's sign. But I was reticent about myself...

-Oh, I can't be a Libra. I mean, they are so shallow and superficial, doesn't they? but, on the other hand, they are more than charming. They are truly intelligent people, and what the hell, we need romanticism, idealism, and unicorns in the world! Is just that... They seem fake to me. Always concerned about manners and with no initiative at all... please get real. Wait, does that mean I think that of myself? AGGHHH SOU F*CKING COMPLEX!!!

(of course, Libras are not that way, nor Geminis are bipolar or Scorpios sexual freaks. That's the stereotype)

Then I found out that I was Libra Third Decan, ruled by Mercury, god's messenger. And that make much more sense. Mercury is a big, big influence in my chart. My bedroom is flooded by magazines, books and unfinished projects. I'm a real computer freak, I'm always trying to learn everything about everyone, I need to text like 87239874093247 messages a day, and I'm in two different theater groups, a cooking course and a long-term creative writing project. Yeah, I'm also crazy.

So, question is:

-??Which Planet is the ruler of your decan? ??Do you think it has a big influence on you?

When I learned about decans everything suddenly made sense. I'm a Sun Cancer but reading the typical Cancer horoscope makes vomit. I am second decan which is sub-ruled by Mars/Pluto (Scorpio decan) and that really made a lot of sense to me. Looking up other Scorpio decan Cancers I realized that they are much different than the two Pisces and Cancer decans.

Same thing goes for other placements, especially Moon & Ascendant. Dark star astrology has descriptions of all the decans and celebrities with either their sun moon or rising in that decan.

I have two cancer friends.
One is the sensitive, calm, caring type.
The other said first time we met something like...
-please, do yourself a favor and suicide.
so I kinda understand you.

Second Decan Taurus here, venus/mercury aswel.

Funny thing is I actually like to read, but not so much from books/magazine/newspaper.
Perhaps the reason why I can't write because lacking of reading.

Does that happen to mercury decans for getting language into sounding dumb when you lack of book reading?

I don't think so, It depends more on the way we communicate, I think. When I write, or when I have to make a speech, I tend to plan everything: the plot, action, characters... but with absolutely no emotion in it. Just raw data. Elegantly disposed, but that's it. A lot of taurus people would prefer another form of expression for themselves, that allow them to show their true sensual nature. Singing, poetry... communication through feelings. Some of the best books about astrology I've read were written by tauruses! and they really have a gift for short novels, as long as they are intense. That's why I love them so much. (though I'm reaaaaally at the other side of the spectrum) And I still haven't found a dumb taurus. Maybe shy, but not dumb.

I also have Mars in Virgo and a Gemini Ascendant. Yikes!

Third decan Leo Sun. I receive an exaltation by decan (Sun is exalted in Aries) as a bonus. Yet, my Sun shows a minor hard aspect (sesquiquadrate) with Mars (in Aries), but that one has been conquered long time ago.

Saturn and Uranus. I'd say I'm more Uranian, but many people have said I fall more on the Saturn side of things.

And my vote goes to... The rebel planet! (I'd swear you're pure Uranian awesomeness at the core, Tiz)
