Models of the solar system

Our understanding of the universe has changed over time. Different civilisations have created different models to explain what the universe is and how the universe began. The Greek astronomer Ptolemy (c90-168AD) used measurements of the sky to create his geocentric model. This had the earth at the centre and all the planets and the sun orbiting around it.

The geocentric model lasted a long time. It wasn’t until the mid 18th century that Nicolaus Copernicus (1473-1543) came up with a different model. His heliocentric theory put the sun at the centre if the universe. It was based on observations with the telescope – work pioneered by the Italian astronomer Galileo Galilei (1564-1642)

Personally I feel the universe is infinite. Meaning the largest scale that humans cant even fathom leads to more or perhaps another universe, and the smallest scale leads to the same. Its a never ending scale of infinity in both directions. That being said a true center cant exist. There is no beginning or end of infinity, nor can there be a true center. You could take frames of time and make a center point that way, but no center of the universe imo. Just a whole other universe in a never ending chain no matter how big or small you get.

I believe things happen in the universe that we cant even see. For example if there was an ant hill in the forest and next to it humans were building a highway, would the ants be able to understand the technology and process of what is happening? Its not that the ants cant see or sense something happening, but rather don't have the mental complicity to truly understand what is happening. Which is theory obviously, for no one knows what the ant is actually thinking. That's exactly the same thing that happens when humans try to size up the universe to themselves, which they simply cant. The human mind hasn't even come close to being developed enough to see the universe for what it really is imo.

universe is infinite?what does that mean? can you define infinite?

why would humans build a highway next to a forest?
Imo infinite is never ending in all directions. Also never ending inward or outward. No beginning or end, it just is and will always be. You could destroy a great portion of the universe, or even every observable portion humans have made an attempt to map, and it would mean nothing in the grand scheme of everything.

Also you never been on a road that had miles of forest on both sides?

no i couldnt destroy a great portion of the universe, i dont wanna do that to find out that it might mean something.

i have never been on a road that had miles of forest on both sides , im not a person im an idea.
On a side note i also believe if you did in fact destroy the universe the second you would hit the switch reality would sever and create 2 parallel dimensions. One where the switch didnt work, nor will it ever, and one where it did. Fact is we all exist, and because of the rules of existence can't truly kill ourselves. Also just a crazy theory.
