Understanding Sun and Moon Combinations and Inner Harmony

Sun and Moon combinations influence how inner conflict or peace manifests. A Cancer Sun with a Gemini Moon may experience inner tension between emotional sensitivity and mental agility, leading to feelings of exhaustion. Learning how these signs interact can help find balance and inner harmony.

Pretty straight forward. Which do you think bring inner conflict, and which facilitate inner peace? I am a Cancer sun, Gemini moon. Let me tell ya, feeling and thinking like they're two opposite lanes on a high speed freeway is exhausting. I'll keep traffic reports for later, but there's always accidents!

I feel ya. Being opposite my Sun/moon combo it's like a never ending roller coaster. I can't imagine what it's like for those with Squared sun/moon aspects. Anyone like to share? 🙂

Being an Aquarius sun with a Cancer moon is insane sometimes, but my Aqua Venus and Mercury along with earth signs helps mellow it out.‚

The more I think about it, the more I've been starting to think that certain alignments, or combinations producing the same or varied result, can lead to what is perceived as personality/behavioral disorders in the clinical sense for people. Even now it is not fully understood how they develop; many theories on environmental, genetic, and traumatic experiences some/all contributing. When you read up on the criteria required for a diagnosis for some of the PDs in the DSM, it's kind of crazy (lol) how many similarities you find. It'd be interesting to see the charts of known crazies. :p

Anywho, that's just my brain spinning off again. Could be a plausible theory though 😄

What matters is aspects between your respective planets. Sign placements are one thing, but they can be relative or even irrelevant if the aspects are strong!!!

If Venus in Sco is perfectly square Merc Tau- You might have some communication problems and/or social problems but there will be an attraction, a sort of respect with possible tension.

If Sun in Libra is perfectly trine Moon in Aqua you will have an amazing chemistry, and emotion harmony etc....usually anything under 5° is a strong aspect.

Time to forget sign compatibility, use real astrology, check only the aspects.

I also think the house placements play a huge role too but people on here seem to dismiss that.

Not necessarily dismissed. Some people, such as myself are still learning about houses, their placements, and strength of influence. I literally just learned my moon and rising sign about a month ago, and I am still learning about those aspects to my chart.

Harmonious = Capricorn sun/Taurus moon(my father)

CHAOTIC = Sagittarius sun/Aries moon(my devil = my ma) 😛

my dad + mom = me = a bit of both(Aries sun/Scorpio moon) 😛

Lol

Okay..on topic, any combo can be harmonious or disastrous - depends on the person 🙂

Disagree. Each of the natal placements you listed are trine.

The combination of fire and water is up for grabs, compatibility wise.

@OP- Surely it can't be that bad, it helps when needed to have certain placements for every one reason..Try having a fixed earth, a fixed air and water rising. Damn..

Anyhow what kind of people do you attract anyways?

What type of internal battles do you struggle with having these placements?

I never said I had internal struggles. The direction of this thread just quickly went that way as everyone started posting chaotic combinations instead of harmonious ones. I did describe my brain as a super freeway of emotion and thoughts, but I never said that was a bad thing. There are crashes here and there, and I refer to my thoughts and emotions as "poetic chaos".

That said, I do have internal struggles, and I've been digging into astrology trying to find some answers that have eluded me, and thus far, it has provided many. I've been living with several PD diagnosis such a borderline personality disorder, major depressive disorder, general anxiety, PTSD, and gender identity disorder. Yes, it sounds like a lot, but I am somehow able to manage them all and remain functional. I started questioning things when the required criteria for some of these conditions are mirror images of the characteristics associated with signs in my chart. For example of fear of abandonment and rejection is highly common amongst cancerians, it also common in people with BPD who are ridiculously emotional beings.

As for the kind of people I attract. That's a tough question. I guess that depends on whatever face I have on at the time. I like to be liked, so I am a bit of a social chameleon when it comes to my interactions with others.

@AriesLady8- I just have high hopes and devotion and even when stuff happens, I'll stay around in hopes I can inspire a new adjustment or change, as I need something solid and sadly I don't get that. See when I am intense I need that water and fire to help me out, and in the long run it's probably something I will always have my eye open. Later in life.
