how common are oppositions and squares i charts?

I have alot of oppositions and squares in my chart......are they fairly common? I'm just wondering with these "challenges" that i have it almost seems i would not match well with anyone. I ran a compatibility with my spouse and it was pretty eye opening. And i also wondered, don't you need time of birth to get a better compatibility match........it only asked for birth dates.
