How to make your own monthly horoscope forecast?

I'm starting to watch my sun sign's horoscope forecast. And I understand that those forecasts does not apply to everyone.

So I got curious how to make my own personal horoscope forecast. Though I get confused whenever they say things like "Mars will be in Cancer, in your 11th house of ..." if you're a Virgo. I understand that if you're first house does start in Virgo.

But what if I have a Rising Sign in Sagittarius? Does it mean that if Mars will transit to Cancer, does it mean that the house that will be affected by Mars will be my 7th house? And will Mars have the energy of Cancer?

Whatever sign you have, they talk about it like it's 1st house, it just principal. But you can check your own yes, go to astrotheme, you can see all the transits. If Gemini is your DC, then probably Cancer 8th house.

Mars transiting Cancer 8th house will affect you if it aspects a planet, and it will mean legal matters, or death might affect you right now,
