For all we know she wanted to have kids of her own & time was running out, yet she wasn't about to soil her glamorous image w/the likes of anonymous ghost-dads, test tube donors or illegitimate rugrats from a one-nighter. MC has been a figure in the media for decades by now & might've played her hand accordingly, with public approval in mind.
I completely agree with this and probably wanted to make her mother happy by getting married as well . Very chatty, yes, but sometimes it's good to think before you speak. It doesnt happen often though lol, the thinking part I mean. I know I've had days when I felt like I was manic with the non-stop talking...said pretty embarrassing things too. Wouldnt want journalists near me if I knew it was one of those days. Totally agree. You should watch the interview they did as a couple with Barbara Walters for 20/20. There seemed to be some tension and fight for control.
