I can’t seem to understand this information very well, was wondering if you could help.

According to Walter Pullen I am:

Pisces: 79.3 ( 1) / 13.1%

Libra: 72.6 ( 2) / 12.0%

Virgo: 71.2 ( 3) / 11.8%

Sagittarius: 68.8 ( 4) / 11.4%

Scorpio: 63.5 ( 5) / 10.5%

Cancer: 57.1 ( 6) / 9.4%

Aquarius: 48.7 ( 7) / 8.1%

Gemini: 46.2 ( 8) / 7.6%

Leo: 33.2 ( 9) / 5.5%

Taurus: 29.7 (10) / 4.9%

Aries: 21.3 (11) / 3.5%

Capricorn: 12.9 (12) / 2.1%

Total: 604.6 / 100.0%

Water: 200.0 / 33.1%

Air: 167.5 / 27.7%

Fire: 123.3 / 20.4%

Earth: 113.8 / 18.8%

Mutuable: 265.5 / 43.9%

Fixed: 175.1 / 29.0%

Cardinal: 163.9 / 27.1%

Also the results I get from Allen Edwall natal cosmodynes is completely different.

Cancer 139.47

Scorpio 108.04

Virgo 63.39

Libra 62.17

Sagittarius 57.88

Leo 48.32

Gemini 45.29

Capricorn 34.20

Aquarius 20.56

Pisces 19.45

Aries 5.95

Why is there such a difference ? Does it just depend from astrologer to astrologer

I'm no expert but from what I can gather, they are both two popular methods to determine the strength of planets in a chart.

The pullen method uses the natal chart as a whole: angles, houses, planets etc to give each planet a power. By doing this you can determine which planet is stronger for you. The guy was a computer programmer and wrote a free astrology program in the mid 1990s. his algorithm is available and that is why it can be on various people's websites. If you go to this link and scroll down to the "power" or "pullen" section you can see which aspects he uses and the default "influence" numbers assigned to each:

The edwall method uses astrodynes/cosmodynes (invented in the 1940s) to give numerical rankings to each planet on three things:

1. nature of the planet

2. nature of the planet's aspects

3. if it is in dignity, mutual reception etc.

Then you add them up (or subtract if it is a disharmonic aspect) and get a power ranking for that planet or sign.

This article explains astrodynes/cosmodynes: http://rosanista.tripod.com/pdfs/2000_09_Sep_Oct_Rays_from_the_Rose_Cross_Pages_42-47.pdf

From an astrology point of view I would use both and see which you like better on people you already know pretty well. I *think* most people like the cosmodynes method more than the pullen method. I use neither.
