Sun Sign/Ascendant combination

Hi everyone!

I have recently become interested in Astrology and I need a little help interpreting my sun sign and rising sign combination. I am Taurus with Libra Rising and I know what the characteristics of my sun sign and rising sign are separately, but I am not sure how to analyze the union of the two.

Also, I researched some websites today and found out that Libras are likely to have a string of relationships and that they are "always" in love. For good or bad, this aplies to me as well. Yet, being a true Taurean I always look for committment, but somehow wind up not committing..This has been troubling me for some time and before I got my chart done I did not know how to justify it.

Another thing I learned today was that a lot of astrologers believe that one of the best ways to find out love compatibility is to compare the sun sign of one person to the ascendant of the other. What are your opinions on that?

My mom's gonna pull up my recorded birth time from Boston, from the specific hospital there; if my bith time exceeds 6.pm then I might fall into either Sagittarius or Capricorn rising.

I too am a Taurus with a Libra ascendent. The sun in Taurus are the traits that we have such as a practial way of thinking, very good with money and tend to be stubborn, while the Libra rising enjoys the arts, has a sense of fairness. Yes, they both have Venus as a ruling planet which really makes this combination very alluring and sensual. The ascendent in Libra is what we project to the people we meet, the Taurus is how we act.

For years I have been a devoted reader of Linda Goodman. Her approach and insight on astrology is unique and very easy to understand. I especially enjoy reading the "Love Signs".
