2nd Decan Cap. Venus is the ruler. I believe decans give both the Taurus aspects of Venus and the Libra aspects. Some astrologers would say only the Taurus one counts because it is an earth sign and I would exhibit Venus or Venus in my life be done in an Earthy way. Makes sense. This is a tough position from the standpoint of love. These people have relationship problems. R Kelly lol, Elvis was a cheater (married his wife when she was like 15). Same for R Kelly sicko. There is a Cap same birthday as me two years prior struggled midely with relationships for about a year or more ( haven't talked to her in like 2). Also another Cap In know with the same Bday and year as her in very strong relationship (time of birth unknown) Though the blessing is artistic qualities especially music. Marilyn Manson Jan 5 like me. Also I really put an emphasis on being balanced Libra rued by Venus and I have Libra Midheaven. Idk alli n all how much emphasis I put on decans alone.

You apply across the chsrt . That is an important point BC astrologers look at a trend of where your planets fall and that says something about your personal planets. First decans are like cardinal sign . 2nd fixed and 3rd mutable. By looking at your planets I think that is a good indicator of how balanced your personality is (based on consistentcy of how you act are you a good starter, fixed, or inconsistent).

Lol...decans have to do with the degree of the sign. So the first ten or so days are within the first 10 degrees and are the first decan of the sign. The second set of 10 or so days and degrees are the second decan, and the third set of 10 days are the 3rd and last decan of the sign.

Keep in mind that all decans of a sign are within the same element.

So Pisces has three decans....the Pisces, Cancer, and Scorpio decans. Some explanations categorize them by the ruling planets. So some sites will identify them as the Neptune/Jupiter, Moon, and Mars decans of Pisces.

Neptune/Jupiter = ruling planet of Pisces, Moon = ruling planet of Cancer, Mars = ruling planet of Scorpio. Pluto rules Scorpio as well, so I can't tell you why Pluto is left out when referring to the Mars and scorpio decan of Pisces. Maybe someone else can answer that for you.

Thank you @frostey91 and @MsTeeq1974 🙂

I've been thinking about what you wrote and looking a lot at the site @SassyKiwi posted and applying it to mine and other people's charts, and what you said makes a lot more sense right now than when I first read your posts.

But every site I look at seems to only apply it to suns? With what they say, even though they're applying it to the sun signs - can you use that exact same info for the other signs in the planets? That's what I've been doing, hoping it's accurate.

I initially thought decans were only applied to the sun sign and ascendants. For rising decans, I found this site pretty accurate for me:

http://www.elbertwade.com/page79.html
Scroll down to the very bottom and click your sign after it says "Learn more about all 12 rising signs and their decans"

This other article mentions:
"The principle of Decans can be applied to any of your planets or other points in your horoscope -- so explore the terrain and have fun discovering just how unique your birth chart truly is! Let's say your Venus is in Virgo at 12 degrees. Virgo is an Earth sign and the degree would fall in the second Decan which, when we follow the natural zodiac, brings us to Capricorn. Mercury rules Virgo and Capricorn is ruled by Saturn. Suddenly we can see how this Venus placement has both qualities to it and that may explain why, if you have this Venus placement, when it comes to love you're more conservative and logical than most. In matters of money you might be an incredibly astute business person with this Venus placement! The Capricorn flavor as a co-ruler to your Venus in Virgo offers valuable additional insights."

Yes, but you have to keep in mind that area involved would be applicable to the planet the sign resides in. There are sites where you can read info on the decans of each Venus sign, etc. If I come across any, I"ll PM you the links.
