What are the effects of the planets aspecting the Ascendant or Rising sign?

Not conjucting as this is quite obvious but what would be the effect of the planets when they square, trine, sextile or opposite your Ascendant?

Sun square ascendant:

I have issues with projecting my character and frequently feel misunderstood.

Neptune square ascendant:

I'm easily influenced and often disappointed.

Sun/Asc do they also have to be 1 degree orb?

No, not at all... as long as they are still within acceptable orb for the TYPE of Aspect in question. Actually, SUN along with Moon Aspects are given a wider orb of influence. Just thought I would highlight a few of my *tightest* asc/planetary aspects, as i went along. All the rest, of course, being well within acceptable orb of degree.
