What is it that's so captivating about Orion?

I'm just wondering. Orion seems to be one the most talked about constellations. I can't explain it to be honest but at night when I'm talking on clear nights, one particular street I walk down happens to line up perfectly with Orion. If I'm not paying attention I can literally zone out into this constellation and end up on the other end of the neighborhood before I know it.

What gives? I haven't quite figured it out myself.

I know someone who named their son Orion.

Its a beautiful constellation, full of wonderful things...Orions belt, Betelguise the red star, and Rigel.
