Are you Michael Jackson in disguise?
Was he afraid of the moon, also?
It's really horrible sometimes. Sometimes, I have to go into an inside room, like a half bath, where there are no windows.
I've even slept in the bathroom before .. when it's bad. When it's full and really bright, I can barely breathe.
The other night, my husband was in bed and I needed to go jump in next to him ..... because I apparently have another irrational fear in where he is able to protect me from the moon ..... but, I couldn't budge from where I was for a couple hours. I was frozen with fright in my chair.
It was awful.

Thanks Huldra. I will read it.
=-O wow! I didn't know moon phobia exists! =-O
It's a beautiful song. Good luck P
The LDS church put out an advisory that members need not worry about the apocalypse during the eclipse.
I don't fear the moon.. but I did get very suddenly ill between 10:00 pm and 11:10 pm during the eclipse being exact. Shaking and chills, attempted sleep but it was like a twilight sleep. Then it was all over. Bizarre.
Eclipse was oppo my Sun in 6th house.
Fear of the moon?
First thing that came to mind was the moon from Legend of Zalda Majora's Mask.
Every night the moon would slowly get closer, and if you didn't find shelter it would eventually crash into the planet killing you.

I'm sorry but this is hilarious, I'm literally cracking up right now. Of all the things to be afraid of....the damn moon...I wish I could throw it on you along with some cold water..Ridiculous.
I mean there are cases where people fear extremely large objects. I remember watching somthing when I was a kid and these people had to cover this chick with a blanket because they were walking past some large ships, and the large mass of them would make her turn pale and pass out.
Maybe this is related. A fear of immensely large uncontrollable objects. Thats totally what she said also.
Posted by FrostAndBiteOut of curiosity, is this a fear of the moon in general, in all lunar phases or particularly just during full moon phases? And does it only tend towards night when the moon is illuminated or also during days when it's evident in the sky?
There is always a sense of foreboding around me all the time, in knowing that the moon is always there. But, as with all things, life brings distractions and a person doesn't always walk around worried about these things.
But, when I can see the moon, it's not really that the feeling is stronger, rather, now I'm paying it more mind because I can see it. When it's bright and full is the worst. So bad that, like I said, I have to cover myself, or go to an inner room of the house.
There's something about the moon that is really frightening to me.
Aren't you a moon person? Like moon dominant?
For some reason I had it in my head you were, but maybe I'm just remembering you saying something like this before
The first thing *I* thought was that she is the WEREWOLF
I always suspected her to be.
Makes perfect sense.
Give us a Howl, p-gel!

I feel love and protection every time I look at the moon.
Born on a new moon in Pisces.
If I look for too long at the moon, I get high.
I'd never heard of this fear before.
I mean I can understand that it exists, there are phobias that are lot more silly than moon phobia, and if I think about it I can understand that some people can have this phobia, the moon is actually rather scary and has an ominous presence, so it's strange that I'd never heard of it before.

I remember Tiz's thread about fears, and I vehemently stated that I don't have any. There is one. I experience it a little all of the time, and excessively on at other times.
Well, the other night, during the lunar eclipse, I was near panic and doom.
I'm terrified of the Moon. Just literally terrified, when it's over head. As much as I realize the moon is always around ... it's only when it's high over top of me that I lose my shit, and I cover my head. In fact, I think I've mentioned this in here before ... this fear of the moon.
Anyway .... did anyone else feel afraid during the eclipse? Is anyone else afraid of it?
