What is your definition of "clingy"?

I see so many people say they hate "clinginess" but what exactly is your definition of being clingy or needy?

I have a man who is my everything in life but I can't be clingy because we have one way communication. I can only have him when he can. However he calls me every day to discuss anything in the world. So I can say he is clingy. But

I can't! Bevause I welcome every second of it.

I do too don't get this term. If partner is nauseating you with his constant presents - shake h/her off. And if you feel like that - you shouldn't be!

It's like if you are married and he calls you during the day and THEN comes home and you feed him and he is claiming in bed with you - oh no! Clingy?

I think it's new for 'loving'...?

Someone who loses all sense of identity being around you to the point where the spark ends and their entire happiness is 100% dependent on you (in an annoying way).

Distance is essential for spark....the mystery. Clinginess is the extreme, unhealthy version of companionship.
