My new Bf didn't get the job he applied for. He reacted a bit dismissive and devil-may-care. He said (by text) that it was a bit naff to be turned down, but couldn't see how they could have afforded him and that he wasn't even sure he wanted the job or had enough time for it. He is a Gem with Aries Moon/Mars, Cap rising.

Myself, on the other hand, reacted quite insecure. I even noticed he didn't put the —x?? at the end of his text??_twice in a row. A ridiculous detail! However, I mentioned it —jokingly?? TWICE. Firstly, saying that he could still afford me. After he forgot the x again, I asked if he feels a bit disconnected from me. It took him a while (40 min!) to reply with: —Oops, sorry. Here's a few extra xxxx??.

I would have lol-ed to read about this reaction happening to someone else, but somehow I saw it as a red flag when it happened to me??_??_wtf?! I'm Pisces sun and moon.

He's an Aries moon.. One thing about Aries mooners is that we know there's always gonna be new opportunities.

He's probably a bit more upset about the job than he's letting on but he knows tomorrow's a new day.

Yes, he's got a big ego, too big for "that small company".

When I asked him about how the interview went, he said "either they don't know how to do interviews, or they plan to give me the job anyway". It was more of a friendly chat over coffee.

Yes Aries placements can be cold....emotionally....not physically

Big difference

It's not coldness, they just choose not to care if something is not such a big deal to them.

My ex is a double aries with mars & merc also in aries. Most of our fights were caused by that careless dispostion to things that bothered me. Example, he'd loan money to people & not care if they pay him back or not. That bothered me because I love the dough lol & besides that, I dont like people who dont stick to their word. Period. But he just didnt care & kept giving them money that we could have saved for our child or something.

To answer your question though.....

Scorp Sun/Aries Moon

I don't believe anyone really "fails". If something doesn't work out, I exhaust every angle first...if that doesn't work, then it just wasn't meant to happen.

I hold that same ideology towards my partner.

A little over three years ago I applied for a job that I wanted so badly I could taste it. I went through three interviews....each a 45 minute drive each way. That job opportunity became bigger than myself (lol), I even disregarded the drive in the winter time because I wanted it so badly.

They didn't pick me 😐

I was devastated for a moment....a day or two at most. Then I resubmitted my resume and shortly after found the position I am in now and couldn't be happier.

Ironically enough, that company just went under a year ago. Closed up shop. They were on the news because they did it "dirty". People showed up for work and there were chains on the entry gates. They were given no notice at all and some even had to fight to get their last paycheck.

I'm pretty relieved now that I didn't get that job 😄

You are quite right to be. I remember my Pisces ex thinking the same about a job he didn't get in his twenties. He travelled the country for the interview, only to discover it was supposed to take place a day earlier, lol!

To this day, he can't explain how that happened.

Then he was lucky to get a job in a pioneering field he helped to develop further, and so his career skyrocketed soon after.

Undine....sorry for playing my part in derailing your thread

Will leave you to carry on with your discussion

🙂
x

LOL, thanks for the x, it was very thoughtful 🙂!

I'm sorry you've got poked by the lambs!

It all started when you called Gem/Aries/Cap placements cold....I think you meant to say "dry". He's got little water, poor him. But his Mercury is in Cancer!

Anyway ((((Starlover)))) x

Reading his response I would have thought he was a Virgo moon. Perhaps it's just the mercurial way. When I don't get a job I want I usually rationalize as to why I didn't I'm usually upset about it, but because I rationalize my emotions as a Virgo moon, I prefer to focus on the logical reason I didn't get the position, and that obviously it was a poor job fit if they didn't consider me the best candidate. Where as others may focus on the emotion behind the failure and than dwell on the dreariness of the situation. I dunno, does that make sense to non-emo peeps? Oh, and Aqua Venus as well. So cold. 😄

It's interesting you sense some Virgo, because in Pullen he's almost 14% Gemini, 13% Aries and 12% Virgo. He has some OCD-like way of achieving goals by monitoring his progress on spread sheets and never gives up, lol. I though this was due to his Cap rising, though.

My BF didn't plan to look for a job (he has accumulated enough personal wealth to allow him to get buy without working and is busy renovating a house he has bought) but was head-hunted and decided to go for it, part-time. He knew the CEO and the industry well, and was let to believe they needed his expertise. He must be quite confused that he was rejected, but hopefully also a bit more humble 🙂!

Me: *a day before* Yeah I should probably start thinking about looking the part.
Sag Ex: *before she even sends in the resume* I'll be wearing this, now excuse me I'm going to draft my speech and research

-If the interview failed-
Me: Well that oughta teach me not to leave it til the last minute again.
Sag Ex: They are so full of shit

-If the interview is a success-
Me: Well how about that *victory dance*
Sag Ex: Yeah bitches, I'm awesome.
