I feel you, but all cardinal signs arw this way. Cardinal is not leadership per se, its simply initiating. They instinctively know what to say and do to get you to open up or manipulate you. Bit at the same time close themselves off because they don't trust you. The trick, mirror them. Works like a charm.
With me, I am slow to reveal to anyone my personl business, but an ex Cancer friend of mine use to probe me about my love life...I thought that she was a true friend, so I confided in her...Come to find out, not only was she telling my secrets to others, but was hiding things about her relationship from me, that I found out through my Taurus friend, and also the Cancer was telling her sister in law,the Taurus my business, and sometimes would have people on the three way, without me knowing, and start asking me personal questions, just to talk about me later...I found out that her Scorpio husband was having an affair and had another family outside of theirs, and was having all sorts of threesomes,and ect...She found out and never told me... The Taurus found out that she was doing the same thing to her, and let every cat out of the bag...Now the Cancer is feeling pretty stupid right about now...Good for the cookiemonster....

Lmao...you're right...I don't play...around, that is. The fact that they do this is no secret. The sad part is its done for their own ends and not for the good of the whole. Which each cardinal sign is an individual, generally there is a huge ego present. This ego makes them feel superior and gives them the mentality that others are "unaware" when most people in fact are very aware but they simply are overlooking what the cardinal sign is doing...which the cardinal sign is aware of and is using that as a tactical advantage when overall its not. Why? In principle, anyone that is a master manipulator immediately knows that what they do is actually a weakness, not a strength, because their reason for even doing it is coming from weakness. Specifically, neediness and mistrust. So, in real terms, the other person could choose "to play along" and thus gain an advantage themselves. People are way more perceptive than otters realize. We we must realize is that each trait is a separate energy that has to be mastered and controlled.

MoonBlue: its easy to take snippets of and article out of context and make an argument. Thats debate 101. But it's also the weakest position overall. You even managed to prove my point as well and in several ways. One, if your initial response is to retort and defend, then you took what was said as an attack...thus making the point valid.Two, you filled your response with insults countering a post that explains why certain events take place. Meaning, a tainted and emotional response(which clouds judgement at inconvenient times) including the last article, limp and pallad. Its clear that those statements are meant to insult and not inform. The first one also does the same. Sagittarius overall is not a manipulative sign...not even enotionally. The description comes after we've opened up and that person betrayed that trust. One need only look at the complaints on this site. Emotional manipulation by a Sag is nowhere to be found. Cancers, however, that's a different story. But not only is it a Cancer trait, but a Cardinal one as well. Again, its about manipulation and control for your own ends and not for the betterment of someone else.
Simple truth and where you choose to go from here is your choice.

I see more cancer women doing this than Sag. Sag's have a more free spirited attitude.
I have a male cancer friend that will approach me and say he needs to talk about something. I'm like, okay, what's going on? He starts side stepping and avoiding. I'm like 'do you need to talk or not". He's like nevermind. So I tell him 'if you're not going to talk about it, then don't bring it up'. He said, 'I changed my mind. I don't need to talk.'. okay, then.
Or, he'll ask me a question and I'll answer honestly. Then tell him it's his turn. All of a sudden he has to go, or he'll change the subject. I don't let him off the hook that easy, but it's like pulling teeth, when he's the one that brings stuff up. So I stopped answering his questions. It's usually not too personal or revealing of a question so I don't understand the avoidance.
Irritating as hell.
Eventually he will talk about it, but I think he secretly likes forcing me to drag it out of him.
After a while, it got old, so I just respond like above now. I am not going to put much effort into begging him to talk.
just didn't want it to sound like I was impatient, because he knows I'm always willing to lend an ear. I just get frustrated with the tactics and games.

I have met some cancers who are nosey and some who aren't. I think it depends on their upbringing. My husband is very nosey about certain things. It used to bother me but I found out later that his main concern is his family safety.
I kinda like both nosey and not-nosey people because I learn to handle them and I'm getting pretty good about it.
The ones that bothers me are those who are full of themselves that they can't even see or imagine that others have something to say as well. For cancer, I only know one cancer female that does this. We sat down for dinner and the whole dinner is her talking about her boyfriend, her job and her vacation plans. BUT I know LOTS of Sagittarius (female and male) who do this ALL the time. That's why they are my friends because I don't like talking about myself. I could sat for dinner with four other people and never once talk about myself, unless someone ask me. I learn from two Scorpios on how to be balance in relationship with others.
But I have nothing against cancer, male and/or female.
